This is where the second name for such torrent networks comes from - peer-to-peer networks. This means that each participant participates equally in the operation of the entire network and that there is no central server where all files are stored.
By the way, if the one who originally distributed the required file stops distributing it, but someone else has already downloaded it, then the file will still be available to everyone. This is the beauty of peer-to-peer networks - if there is at least one person who has a whole file, then the entire network can download it, even if this person did not initially upload it.
The seeder has disappeared from the distribution, but two users have enough pieces to trade with each other and get the whole file.
How are files transferred?
They are transmitted according to the following scenario: - a person who decides to share a certain program (or movie), makes a torrent file and places it on a tracker - a resource that acts as an intermediary among several users. Those who offer the program and those who download it.
This file is a kind of path through which users connect to the person’s computer, where this program is located (which the person wants to download). In other words, such a person’s computer acts as a mini-server.
But the point here is that the person who downloads the program at the same time distributes it to other users on the network: this file is combined from many elements that are combined into a single whole and turned into the desired program or movie.
Hence, when some users stop sending similar elements of programs downloaded from their computers, the user on the other end of this network will still receive the film, since other owners of this film have not stopped sending the film. This mechanism is quite convenient and economical. Therefore, if you want the movie to be downloaded faster via torrent, do not forget to not only download, but also give away some of the content.

After the program has completed downloading, you can open the file directly from the torrent client window by double-clicking on the download or open the folder that you specified when adding the download to the program. After this, you can remove the torrent job from the client if you so choose, but it is highly recommended that you leave the torrent seeding (downloading after you have received all the parts). Although there are no rules about how long you should leave a seed, it is recommended that you give away the same amount of data that you downloaded, this is also known as achieving a 1.0 odds.
This ratio is calculated by dividing the amount of data you downloaded by the amount of data you downloaded. Of course, it is technically impossible for every person in any crowd to reach the 1.0 ratio, but people who leave the crowd before even approaching this ratio are rejected by the BitTorrent community, and labeled as leechers (which carries a strong negative connotation). Because leechers have a negative influence on crowds, some people resort to vigilant tactics and block leecher connections. In addition, private trackers can ban leechers.

What is a torrent client and why is it needed?

How to work with uTorrent correctly?
- We enter the required resource and select an element on the tracker;
- Next, we need to download the Torrent file. I have already mentioned that he is the path. A person walks along it to the download location;
- Then, once we have downloaded this file, click on it and launch uTorrent.
Some programs have a download priority mode. This means that you are given a chance to compile a list of the necessary files. They need to show the order, and you can download all the episodes from a specific season of any series.

- The torrent file will be downloaded to our computer. In this case, it is advisable to select a disk to boot. I usually select E, in which I want to create a “Downloads” folder. Click on the “Save” button;
- Then, open this file using uTorrent;
- After this, we need to indicate the folder where we would like to download movies. If you have a limited plan and cannot share files, you can disable this feature. To do this, click on the “More” button;
- In the new window, in order not to be banned in this system and not to give away your traffic, but only download it, you need to erase all the links in the trackers window and click Ok;
- Now, we need to wait for the movie to be downloaded. I like downloading via uTorrent because even if it is suddenly interrupted, you can resume it again from the point where it was interrupted.
As you can see, I not only download, but also distribute some of the files so as not to be a “Leech”. It’s up to you to decide for yourself whether to distribute files or not. Overall, the design of this program is quite simple. Using the necessary buttons, the user can interrupt the download at any time, or delete it altogether. To do this, click on the desired file and select “Delete” from the drop-down menu.

- Now you will see the main application window with a list of all downloads (active, stopped, running):
- To the right of the name, the size and status line with percentages are displayed, then the download and upload speeds and the estimated duration of the procedure are shown.
- If you don’t want to share with anyone, you can limit the torrent distribution speed to 25 KB per second). To do this, right-click on the element, select “Priority...” - then “Limit returns” and indicate the value we need.
All you have to do is wait until the status shows “100%” and you can go to the download folder.
