How to login to icloud account and login if it fails

Anyone who gets an iPhone will sooner or later log into their icloud account. Apple has always been proud of its developments in the field of creating devices and software for them. Over the years, the company has constantly updated and improved its product line, bringing it to perfection, which has helped it constantly remain among the sales leaders, leaving behind such a giant as Microsoft. And these are not empty words.

Manufacturer's lineup

Users all over the world use devices developed by Apple - iPhone, Macbook, iPad, iPod. When a company announces the release of a new device, people from all over the world line up in huge queues to get their hands on the coveted new product . And this is not because the presence of such a device is considered prestigious. People choose the same iPhone because it is easy to use and also comes with a huge number of convenient features .

One of these features is icloud, in other words “the cloud”, a place where information from your devices can be stored. All Apple products are equipped with this feature. By default, no more than five gigabytes of information are stored in iCloud. Due to the high quality of photos and high resolution videos, cloud storage space runs out quickly, and additional gigabytes are only available for an additional fee.

Got an error connecting to iCloud? There is a solution!

Fierce and categorical greetings to everyone! This situation happened to me literally 30 minutes ago, so today I will have my favorite type of instructions - personal experience in solving the problem right on the heels of it.

As they say, “from the heat of the moment” and immediately to the pages of your personal blog. One two Three. Go!

So. I’m sitting, not bothering anyone, slowly looking through the questions in the comments to the article “What happens if you click erase iPhone on the iCloud website”, for one of the answers (Elena, hello!) I conduct all sorts of experiments with my old iPhone, and... something went wrong not so - during the next “experiment” something strange happens.

I needed to sign out of iCloud, but I couldn't do it!

No, I don’t seem to be a fool and I do everything as it should - I go to “Settings”, open an account, click “Log out”, enter the password... But there is no positive result - an error appears:

The check failed. There was an error connecting to iCloud.

I think I probably entered the wrong password. I repeat the procedure. Zero emotions - the problem has not gone away!

What to do next? All the possible reasons for this behavior quickly “surfaced” in my head and in the end everything ended well - I finally solved the problem.

But so that you don’t focus only on what helped me, I will consider absolutely all the “heroes of the occasion” that do not allow you to log out of iCloud and lead to the error “Verification failed, an error occurred when connecting to iCloud.”

Wow, what a turnaround! I need to finish long sentences - sometimes I read it myself and don’t understand anything :)

Okay, let's get to the main point - why it fails when signing out of iCloud on an iPhone or iPad:

  1. Incorrect password. Be sure to check if you are specifying everything correctly? Capital letters, numbers, symbols, keyboard layout... Many passwords are so complex that typing them wrong is not a problem. In general, be careful!
  2. iOS system crash. No one is immune from “glitches” and “bugs”—Apple’s operating system is no exception. What to do? Use a hard reboot. This is always useful and, in most cases, helps 100%!
  3. Internet connection problems #1. The most common cause of the error “Verification failed, an error occurred when connecting to iCloud” is difficulties with access to the World Wide Web. Try turning off (on) Wi-Fi or using mobile Internet - this should help!
  4. Internet connection problems #2. If there is no way to connect to Wi-Fi, be sure to check if your iPhone settings have the option to use a cellular network. Open “Settings - Cellular Data”, scroll down the screen and look for the “Settings” line, if necessary, activate the corresponding switch.

  5. Failures on Apple servers (how to check their status at a given specific point in time). This is also possible, especially on the days when new firmware is released or some major presentations. What to do? It sounds stupid, but there is only one way out - wait and hope that the company’s engineers will quickly fix everything.
  6. Incorrect date. A very unobvious cause of the “An error occurred connecting to iCloud” problem, but it is what often leads to the iPhone or iPad reporting a failed verification. We pick up the calendar, open “Settings - Date and Time” and check if everything is “OK” there?

Phew, that seems to be it.

I would like to make an important note

Don't neglect any of the above points - check them all!

Why? Yes, because the author of these lines could not log out of iCloud for two reasons:

  1. In “Settings - Cellular Communications”, Internet access was disabled under the “Settings” item.
  2. The iPhone was set to the wrong date.

And if the wrong date can still be explained somehow (my profession is to constantly experiment with my iPhone), then why did I restrict access to the Internet in the settings? No idea at all! :)

Finally, as usual, a small request:

  1. If the instructions were useful, then don’t be lazy to write a couple of lines in the comments (how it went and what helped you). Feedback from readers is always great!
  2. Do you know any other reasons for iCloud connection errors? Write about it - other users (and the author) will thank you very much!
  3. Nothing succeeded? Comments are welcome - let's try to figure it out!

PS Put “likes”, click on the social network buttons, subscribe to the channel, press the bell, and “that’s all”... Thank you!:)

Ways to login to icloud

To use the cloud from Apple, you need to log into icloud. Usually, when purchasing any Apple device and launching it for the first time, you will be asked to create your account - register. Registration is required for the user's Apple ID to appear in the system. Standard windows will appear in which you will be asked to fill in empty fields, indicating information about yourself, as well as your future login and password.

Web version

Where is the cloud in iPhone? We have already considered the answer to a similar question. It is located in the “Settings” section of a particular mobile device. Using a cloud service is easier than it seems. The main thing is to have an Apple ID account. There is no way to do without it.

How to view information in the iPhone cloud? You can use the web version of iCloud. It's best to do this from a computer, but we'll focus on a mobile device.

The main problem is that iCloud does not have a mobile version. The data cloud is represented either by a website, or a special program for Mac, or an item in the settings of a mobile device. However, this limitation can be circumvented.

How to view a cloud on an iPhone through a mobile browser? It is recommended to do the following:

  1. Open Safari and go to icloud.com.
  2. Click on the “Share...” button.
  3. Select the “Full version...” section.

The iCloud website will open. Now you can log in to the service using your Apple ID login and password. Next, an interactive cloud menu will appear on the phone display. Very comfortably!

Important: to work with the service, it is important to have an Internet connection. Without it, no authorization in the cloud will help.

Find devices online

It is possible to search for an Apple device (iPhone, MacBook, iPad, iPod) via icloud. In order to find an iPhone through icloud com, you need to complete several setup steps: both your device and your computer.

On the device you need to go to the settings item (usually it looks like a “gear”). At the very bottom of the list, find the iCloud item. In it, find the line “Find device” and activate it. After this, you can log into the already installed application on your computer (described above) or through the web version. After logging into your account, simply look for the Find My Device icon. Select the desired device from the drop-down list. When the search is complete, a map will appear with an icon indicating the current location of the device.

Disabling the cloud

We figured out how to view data in iCloud. And how to log into the cloud service, too. Now let's find out how to disable the corresponding option.

Typically, to achieve the desired goal, it is recommended to act in this way:

  1. Look at the iCloud section. It is located in the Settings menu of your mobile device.
  2. Scroll the list that appears to the very end.
  3. Tap on “Exit” or “Delete”.
  4. Wait.

Important: if the “Find My iPhone” option is activated on your smartphone or tablet, to sign out of iCloud you will have to provide your Apple ID password after the steps described above. Otherwise, it will not be possible to cope with the task.

Fix 7: Reset Password

If none of the previous steps worked and you have checked your Apple system status, then the next step is to change your Apple ID password. This is a hassle, but often it solves the problem. The easiest way to change your password is on your Mac (or Windows PC).

  1. Open your Safari web browser and go to appleid.apple.com.
  2. Click Reset Password.
  3. Enter your Apple ID and click Next.
  4. Select "Email Authentication" or "Answer Security Questions" and click "Next."
  5. Click “Reset Password” in the email or enter security questions.
  6. Enter a new password in the New Password and Confirm Password fields.
  7. Click Reset Password.

Now try entering the new password on your iPhone when it asks. This should be accepted by the iPhone and fix the problem. If you're having trouble with this, we have more information here: How to reset your Apple ID.

iTunes

You can also access iCloud from another popular application - iTunes; There is no need to sync your iPhone with your computer. The recovery process looks like this:

  • The iPhone owner launches the program, and then calls up the “Account” drop-down menu.

  • Next, select the “Login” option.

  • In the window that opens, click on the link “Forgot your Apple ID or password?”

  • Now he will be redirected to the already familiar “Having problems logging into your account?” page; what to do next is described in detail in the previous section.
