Settings Samsung Galaxy Buds - instructions in Russian

Characteristics and appearance

The headphones are equipped with built-in batteries. They “fit well” in the ears and do not create discomfort as a result of prolonged wearing. The sound quality is provided by two-way speakers that reproduce premium sound from AKG.

A brief overview of the Samsung Buds configuration:

  1. USB charging cable.
  2. Set of replaceable arms and ear pads.
  3. Battery case for charging and storage.

Available in four colors: white, blue, red and black.

Parameters of Samsung Buds headphones:

  • Type - wireless earbuds;
  • Bluetooth connection;
  • Battery capacity 85 mAh;
  • Operating time 11 hours;
  • Case capacity: battery, 270 mAh;
  • Dimensions of the battery case, 70x26.5x38 mm;
  • Headphone weight 6.3 g.

Preparation for use

You may need to charge the headphones before connecting them for the first time. To do this, you need to place them in the battery case and monitor the status of the indicators (item “Designation indicator light”).

Advice! Do not use Samsung Galaxy Buds wireless headphones while driving or at pedestrian crossings. This can lead to decreased response and accidents.

Autonomy

  • 61 mAh batteries in each earphone + 472 mAh in the case.
  • Claimed operating time: up to 5 hours of continuous listening with noise reduction turned on.
  • Actual operating time: 4 hours and 45 minutes of continuous music and podcast playback at medium volume with active noise cancellation.
  • Two full charges from the case, a total of 18 hours of use.
  • Charging the case via Type-C, supports wireless charging.

Real autonomy testing was carried out with active noise cancellation turned on in a room with constant monotonous road noise. The final result is just under 5 hours of battery life. Moreover, after the right earphone discharged, the left one lasted an additional 15 minutes in mono mode. Working without active noise cancellation increases battery life up to 8 hours.

Red line - left earphone, blue - right

The case is capable of fully charging the headphones twice, plus there will be another 20-30% left for the third cycle. Charging a case with discharged headphones inside takes about 2.5 hours, and the earbuds are charged first for a speedy return to work. The indicator inside the case reports on the status of the plugs, and on the outside – about its own battery.

The case itself charges via USB Type-C or wireless charging

Samsung's flagships, including the new Galaxy S21 line, can charge the case wirelessly using reverse charging.

According to the Samsung Buds instructions, the features of the mode include the following:

Troubleshooting

Possible problems with Samsung Buds headphones that you can fix yourself.

Doesn't turn on, doesn't work

Causes:

  • The battery is completely discharged. Charge the battery before using the headphones.
  • There is no contact between the tactile sensor and the ear. If the headphone detection signal is not heard, you need to remove the headphones and reinsert them into your ears.
  • If the touch panel does not recognize or the headphones do not respond to commands, insert them into the slots of the battery case for 7 seconds. Then connect.

Audio delays

OnePlus Buds Pro has low latency when watching videos. No matter what codec was used, the headphones easily sync with the video, with minimal latency.

Latency in games was acceptable, and OnePlus claims even better results with some of their smartphone models. But even when using the Buds Pro with an iPhone, the lag wasn't particularly distracting when playing regular games.

There is no synchronization with the mobile device or the connection is interrupted

What should be done:

  • Close the battery case, then open it and enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
  • Bring the headphones closer to your phone or tablet. Make a connection.

Headphones won't charge

  • You need to check the contacts of the charging case to see if the headphones are in contact with them.
  • The charger must be properly connected to the battery case.
  • The battery contacts are dirty. Clean the gold contacts with a dry cloth and charge the battery again.

Poor sound quality

  • Wireless network services may not be available due to problems with your mobile operator.
  • Headphones must be kept away from electromagnetic waves.
  • The headphones and Bluetooth device (phone, tablet, etc.) are within the Bluetooth range (10 m).
  • The volume level of the device may cause changes in volume or noise. You need to adjust the audio settings on the connected device.

The headphones get warm

  • Galaxy Buds may become warm when used for long periods of time. This does not affect the performance or lifespan of the headphones.
  • If the headphones become overheated and become too hot, you need to turn them off for a while.

Music

The headphones are arranged very curiously inside; below is a cross-sectional picture. Two drivers are used: a high-frequency driver measuring 6.5 mm and a low-mid frequency driver measuring 11 mm. Let me remind you that this design is very rare in TWS headphones. The drivers were configured by people from AKG.

There is something else interesting. From a Bluetooth point of view, everything is cool here: profile 5.0, quick reconnection to different devices in the Galaxy ecosystem (for example, if you have a tablet or another smartphone with OneUI 3.1). In terms of codecs, these are proprietary Scalable Codec, AAC and SBC, the model is universal and suitable for users of any device. The Fold 2 comes with Scalable Codec and it's good, I used Spotify with a 'maximum' subscription and really enjoyed the sound. Don't neglect planting! It is very important.

I listened to a little different music. I will give just three examples of different genres.

Number one: Let Me Love You Like a Woman, it's Lana Del Rey. I like to turn on both old and new albums in the car on the way home from work, here I can remember both the States and the trip to her concert - the headphones do not let me down, the voice sounds mysterious and unique, emotional.

Number two: Esser Conscient, this is our wonderful Upercent. To test your headphones, you can use this track, and it’s a good example of modern electronic music.

And, of course, you simply need to check the playback with the help of Vasily Didlyakov’s wonderful track “Remote Corporate”. Sounds great!

Okay, okay, here’s another great album, great music for the mood - Gorillaz, Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez, all the tracks are good. Try listening on Buds Pro!

How to care for your headphones

  1. Cleaning the receiver from earwax. To do this, you will need to carefully remove the ear pad. This is done with a toothbrush or other tools. Used to improve sound quality.

  2. Cleaning contacts from traces of oxidation. Performed with a dry cloth. Used to improve the quality of battery charge.

In comparison in the price-quality category, choosing Galaxy Buds would be a good decision, justified by a number of positive qualities. These include a well-thought-out sensor interface, high-quality sound, a large battery life, small dimensions and weight.

Sound quality

The sound of the OnePlus Buds Pro is quite pleasant - the emphasis is on the bass, but the lows are not too heavy.

OnePlus boasts support for the Buds Pro high-quality LHDC codec, however, it will only become available after one of the future updates. In addition, the audio codec will only work with new smartphones from OnePlus and Oppo, which makes it pointless for owners of other phones to purchase these headphones.

The Buds Pro have a fairly typical V-shaped sound signature. Significant emphasis is placed on low and high frequencies, with effortless transmission of mids. Bass is substantial, with broadband boost applied to the first few hundred hertz of the frequency range, resulting in strong bass. They lack articulation and detail here, and there is often a rumble in the sound, which is fine when playing video content, but tends to be overpowering and distracting in music.

The midrange is more relaxed and stripped down than the lower range, but it loses its punch as you move up in frequency. The upper mids are suppressed and this results in a slight shift in the vocals overall. The treble response begins with this downward trajectory, as the low treble also exhibits some laid-back midrange characteristics.

As you move up the frequency range, high frequencies tend to surge aggressively, resulting in a sharp increase in hiss. Tones with frequent use of sibilants can become dominant and distracting. The overall tonality of the OnePlus Buds Pro is quite punchy and bright, with bass and treble dominating the sound, drowning out the mids a bit.

From a technical point of view, the detail here is average despite the wide bandwidth. Overall, the sound quality is good, but the stage is a bit narrow and unremarkable.
