Design and device

The Xiaomi ZMi Aura 20000 power bank can be charged via Micro-USB or Type-C connector from any charger. Both connectors support fast charging technologies.

Interestingly, in this case everything worked out and the charger from the Lenovo Vibe P1 smartphone with QC 2.0 support charges the power bank in exactly 9 hours, which is an excellent result. At the same time, the charger itself got warm, like when charging a smartphone, and the power bank was cold all the time.

According to the electronic display of the power bank, power gain does not occur linearly. In the first 2 hours it gained 75% charge, after another 1 hour the charge was 85%, and for the remaining 5 hours the power bank slowly gained power to 100%.

It’s difficult to say for sure whether the indicator is lying or whether this is actually happening, but this is very similar to how fast charging technology works. First, a completely discharged battery quickly gains capacity, and then is safely recharged to the end with a reduced current.

Packaging and equipment

The Xiaomi ZMi Aura 20000 power bank comes in a nondescript box made of recycled cardboard.

The white version has model number QB821, and the black version QB822.
