Finding out the battery charge level on all older iPhone models is very simple, just go to “Settings” → “Battery” and turn on the “Charge percentage” option.

However, Apple smartphones equipped with the TrueDepth camera system (iPhone 13, 13 Pro, 12, 12 Pro, 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone X, iPhone XS and iPhone XR) do not have this option. Does this mean that it is impossible to find out the battery level in new flagships? Not at all.
Despite the lack of a corresponding option in Settings, you can still find out how much charge is left in percentage.

How to enable charging percentage display on iPhone 12, 11, XS and XR
Unfortunately, on iPhones with a notch at the top of the screen, displaying the current battery charge as a percentage in the top line is not available.
However, we can choose one of two options in this case:
- The simplest thing is to open “Control Center” by pulling down from the top right edge of the screen: as a result, the charging percentage will be displayed in the status bar.
- The second option became available with the release of iOS 14 - now we can place a widget showing the battery level, including on the home screen (or in the widget area on the left):
- press and hold your finger on an empty area of the home screen, and when it goes into edit mode, click on the “Plus” button at the top left.
- A list of widgets will open, find the “Batteries” item in the list.
- Select the appropriate percentage widget option and add it to your home screen.
- As a result, you will always have the current charge percentage shown, although it takes up more space than required in my opinion.
Perhaps in the future Apple will offer another option for showing the charge percentage on these iPhone models, but for now this is the only way.
Is it possible to display the charge level on the main screen?
As it becomes clear from the previous sections, information about the battery charge can be displayed on the main screen only in iPhones up to version 8 inclusive. In newer flagships. Thanks to the efforts of the developers, there is simply no space left in the corners of the screen of all these models. In their opinion, an animated icon is more than enough. However, not all users agree with them.
The company received a ton of criticism for this small change. Now you have to make several additional clicks, which also consumes the battery, the status of which is obsessively monitored by iPhone users.
Owners of new models can breathe easier - Apple has increased the battery capacity, so it lasts even with active use. Numerous tests do not provide unambiguous data, because everything is very individual. Session length is affected by frequency of use and specific applications. iPhone X and iPhone XS are capable of maintaining battery life for a long time, even after several hundred recharge cycles.
The most stable is the iPhone 10. Thanks to the dual battery configuration, the smartphone demonstrates the longest operating period without recharging. According to tests, it allows you to listen to music on the Internet for 60 hours and actively surf for at least 12 hours. If you use the smartphone for voice calls, the battery will last for 21 hours. In this case, the device is half charged in less than half an hour. Provided that you are not using the Internet at this time.

Is it possible to enable battery percentage on iPhone?
If a user thinks that it is now impossible to view the battery charge on an iPhone, then he is far mistaken. On all models, both old and new, you can find out the remaining charge percentage. The only difference is that models such as:
- X;
- XR;
- XS;
- And XS Max
Now they can only show the percentage for a certain period of time. They can't show it all the time. This was done to improve ergonomics so as not to take up free space on the screen. The information is in the curtain, like other Apple devices.
To do this, you need to call up the menu located in the control center. It disappears after the user stops using it. In the settings, you can simply enable the “Active Interest” function to enable the necessary functions.
Scientists also assure that showing the charging percentage level has a great psychological impact. The user automatically wants to put the smartphone on charge if the screen shows less than 50 percent charge. This means that the phone does not have much time left to work. According to research results, a charge of about 49 percent helps to work for about 5 hours. It is also worth understanding that the research was carried out on a new mobile device, which is not damaged, the battery works properly and correctly.
If the device discharges quickly, then most likely the problem is charging. It's worth trying to change the charger. You should also use only original products. In other cases, there is a high risk that the mobile device itself will become damaged. Replacing the battery is a very expensive procedure, but it is the only way to save your phone.
Possible problems when using a level on an iPhone
Technology is technology, and applications like these can never be more accurate than professional equipment. Each phone, as practice has shown, has its own angular offset, albeit small. Several people immediately wrote about this after the “Level” function was introduced on the new device. Perhaps this is a manufacturing defect or inaccuracies in rounding results and direct measurement. The error may vary. Some say that theirs is 2 degrees, and some are even more unlucky, because compared to a normal gyroscope, their iPhone or iPad lies by as much as 4 or even 6 degrees.
Thus, it was discussed what the “Level” program on an iPhone is, how to use it, and what errors may occur when taking measurements. It's easy to open and even easier to take measurements.

iPhone X battery capacity
When releasing the updated Apple flagship, the main parameters were improved, including the battery capacity of the iPhone 10. The redesigned hardware configuration provided a result of 2716 mAh. For Apple phones this is a high level indicator. Users did not like the numbers on the box. Competitors running on the Android platform claim increased battery capacity. In reality, it turns out that the smartphone is optimized and works offline no worse than its competitors.
There are smartphones with powerful and medium-sized batteries on the market, but among Apple smartphones, the “ten” showed excellent results thanks to its dual battery configuration. 60 hours of listening to music using the Internet, 12 hours of active surfing, 21 hours of talking - this is enough for everyday use. Moreover, the iPhone X battery supports fast wireless charging by 50 percent in 20 minutes.
Comparison with other iPhone models
Apple smartphones are distinguished by high-quality optimization, so the declared battery capacity of the iPhone X does not interfere with using the device without restrictions. And when using a battery case or power bank, the phone will have no equal. For comparison, we provide a table of the capacity of other models - it is easy to trace the evolution of the products of the “apple” manufacturer.

Optimization, increased energy efficiency of the screen and a powerful processor make the smartphone suitable for active use - the battery will last. Tests will not be able to give accurate results, since the duration of operation directly depends on the frequency of use of the device.
How to turn on level on iPhone
To enable the “Level” program on your iPhone or iPad, you must:
- Go to the main menu of the device.
- Find the “Roulette” icon among other standard programs.
- At the bottom of the screen, go from the distance meter functionality to the vertical object alignment tool (level).
Next, you should attach the gadget with one of its flat sides to the object whose corner needs to be aligned. The application will instantly show how many degrees it deviates in one direction or another from the center. It is necessary to gradually move the phone over the surface and record the gyroscope readings.
If you need to take measurements to level a flat surface, you should place the phone on this plane in a horizontal position (body down, screen up). The program will change its orientation and show the degree of displacement of this surface from the ideal center. You can see this with the help of two circles, which will merge together only when the smartphone shows 0 degrees of displacement.
Important! You can also set your own measurement center. To do this, hold the device in the desired direction or place it on a surface, and then touch the display so that the program resets the results and takes the current position as 0 degrees. The displacement of the phone will show the deviation from the initially specified plane.
What is a level on an iPhone?
Most likely, new and inexperienced users of the iOS operating systems and iPhone smartphones are not aware that their devices have a pre-installed application called “Roulette”. It can be used in different ways, but in addition to the main functionality of roulette, it also contains the “Level” option, which will be discussed further.
The Roulette program allows you to measure the parameters of real objects in the surrounding world using a standard gadget camera. The measurement is based on augmented reality technology. It not only takes a photo of an object, but also shows its width, length or height directly on the screen.
Important! Before using the application, you need to make sure that the iOS 12 operating system is installed on your phone. It is available on new smartphones, on iPhone SE and iPhone 6s devices, as well as on iPads of the fifth and later generations.
In addition to the main functionality, the Roulette program has a tool that helps align vertical objects. For example, this could be a photo frame or a flat table surface. Initially, the function was available in the Compass application, where, in addition to determining north, south, west and east, it was possible to determine the level of inclination of an object using a built-in electronic gyroscope. In the new updates, the developers have transferred the functionality of the angle meter to the Roulette application.
Where is the level located in iPhone 7 and other models
As already mentioned, initially the surface curvature meter function was located in the Compass application, but then it was moved to another place - the preinstalled Roulette program. On any iPhone or iPad that meets the technical and software requirements for installing the iOS version 12 operating system, the program will work flawlessly and is located in only one place - in Roulette.
If we talk about work, then everything may actually not be so smooth. If the built-in gyroscope of the smartphone was damaged by hitting the ground or moisture once got into the phone’s body, which, as it seemed, did not cause much harm to the device and its components, then the module may not work entirely correctly.
Important! You should always treat your phone with care and do not throw it even on soft surfaces. Otherwise, this may cause failure or malfunction of certain modules.
