Application for children's watches SeTracker 2: complete instructions

What is SeTracker?

SeTracker is the most common application for children's smartwatches. Moreover, it is completely free. Models such as Q50, Q60, Q80, Q90, Q100, Q200, DF25, D99, D100 and other watches with an MTK processor and Wonlex in particular work with this application.

Without installing and configuring this application, you will not be able to fully use all the functionality of the gadget. With its help, geofences are established, short messages are sent, the child’s location is determined, etc. That is, if you have already purchased a children's watch, SeTracker is a must-have for you.

SiT v3.90 is out as Beta 1, after being quietly released around a month ago. Several years in the making, lots of new great stuff, of some which I'll try and make a short summery of here. Needless to say is that this version has been waited for, for a long time. First off, I'd

Registration in the C tracker 2 application

Before starting to work with the application, make sure that the watch is charged, turned on and has an active SIM card with Internet access installed. To start registering, click on “Register” in the upper right corner of the screen. In the next window you need to fill in all the required fields.

  • License . This is the REG CODE of the watch (15 characters), which is located on the back cover of the watch, the battery or on the box. The code can be entered manually (do not confuse REG CODE (license) with ID) or by scanning the QR code.
  • Account field . Here we enter your email address, which will also serve as your login login, and which, if you forget your password, will help you recover it.
  • Field “Nickname” . In this field you need to enter the child's name in Latin letters.
  • Password . Create a password between 6 and 12 characters long.
  • Confirm password.

All that remains is to select the location Europe and Africa from the drop-down list and click OK to complete registration. After this, you are taken to the main menu of the application, which contains buttons for setting up the application and a map with the current location of the watch, the child’s name, street name, date and battery charge level of the watch.

After you have successfully registered in the application, we recommend that you write down your login and password somewhere along with the REG CODE (license) codes with ID. Because if you forget this data, and you need it, you will have to contact the manufacturer or reset the ID of your children’s watch for a fee.

Information for owners of phones or tablets with IOS or Android systems

For most applications for Smart baby watch, one parent registers the watch, writes a login and password, then the same Application is installed by the second parent (grandparents) and he needs to log in with the same login and password as the first parent.

Setracker 2 has all the same features, but a different interface

Step By Step

At the moment, the most optimal Application is SeTracker3 (without a space). Read more about which application to choose in our blog: gps watch application.

Setting up Smart Baby Watch Q50 is not fundamentally different from Q80, Q100 and others. The only difference is in the SIM card slot, and also in the Q80, Q100 models there is a vibration alert function, so an additional menu item appears.

Setting up SeTracker 2 (Si tracker)

Now you can go to the settings. Although there are many settings, understanding them will not be difficult. The application interface is very simple and intuitive.

Settings icons are located around the perimeter of the screen, their purpose can be seen in the picture below.

The easiest way to start setting up is with the most basic parameters: language, time, date, phone book, etc. To do this, click on the middle button at the bottom of the screen, and then the menu item Language and time. Here we select the language and time zone.

The next step is to fill in the “SOS Numbers”

Here you can save up to three phone numbers, which the watch will try to call in case of an alarm. The phone number is entered in internal format. To call a number, you must hold the SOS button for 3 seconds, after which the watch dials the first number; if it does not answer within 5 seconds, the second number is automatically dialed, then the third. And so on in a circle until one of them answers.

Back call

It's essentially wiretapping. The watch will call you back to the phone number you entered within 30 seconds. At the same time, the watch screen and speaker will remain turned off, and you will be able to hear what is happening around the child.

Setting up geolocation mode

Geolocation can operate in three modes:

  1. Normal. This mode is considered the most optimal, since it does not consume so much battery power, but at the same time sends location data to the server every 10 minutes.
  2. Energy saving mode. In this mode, data is sent to the server every 1 hour.
  3. In real time. In this mode, the battery drains the fastest and also consumes the most traffic, but data is sent to the server every 60 seconds.

SMS notifications

At this point, you can select the phone to which SMS will be sent in the following cases: dangerous SOS situation, low battery charge and removal of the watch from your hand. By moving the sliders you can turn notifications on and off.

Phone book

You can store up to 15 (in some models 10 or 5) phone numbers in the device memory. The watch will only be able to receive calls from these numbers, as well as from three SOS numbers. That is, no stranger will be able to reach the child.

Hand-held sensor

If you activate this function, then after the watch has been off your wrist for three minutes, a message will be sent to your parents’ phone. But only if they were on your hand for 10-15 minutes before.

“Where to find?” function

This will help you find a watch that has fallen somewhere under a chair. Simply activate this function, the watch begins to emit signals, and you find them by sound.

"Remote shutdown"

When the watch is active, it cannot be turned off using the button. This can only be done through the “Remote shutdown” menu item.

conclusions

In general, the application pleased with its stability.

Maps are drawn quickly, functionality is configured in a matter of minutes, messages arrive consistently and without false positives.

On the Internet you can easily find detailed instructions with a list of all SMS and DTMF commands that can be sent to the device.

Do not forget to regularly top up the balance on the SIM card inserted into the GPS tracker, because all these functions will only work with an active Internet connection.

The device will be able to make calls and send alarm SMS only if the balance on the SIM card is positive.

Other SeTracker 2 settings

The rest of the settings are not that important, so we'll go through them very quickly. You can see all of them clearly in the video at the very end of the article.

Menu with additional settings (drop-shaped icon in the upper left corner).

  • Health . In the “Health” section you can see parameters such as the number of steps, calories burned, distance and duration of sleep.
  • Do not disturb . Here you can set three time intervals during which the watch cannot be reached. For example, while the child is at school or training.
  • Alarm . There are also three alarm clocks and you can choose the time, as well as the frequency of repetitions.
  • Item Messages . Here you can view the most important messages and notifications.
  • Awards . From here you can send symbolic rewards to your watch in the form of messages.

Chat (bottom left corner).

This menu item allows you to send a voice or text message to your watch via the software.

Security zone or “Geofence”

At this point, you can set a radius on the map, upon leaving which a message will be sent to your smartphone. The minimum radius of such a “fence” is 200 meters, and the maximum is 2000 meters.

“Refine” button

Clicking this button will give you your current location.

Reports

At this point you can view the history of routes by date.

Main goals

The main function is to track the child’s movements and provide the ability to promptly call for help.

FunctionsPurpose
Location controlThis is done using a GPS transmitter built into the watch. The adult sets the frequency of updating information about where the child is.
Safe zoneIf the boundary is violated, a notification will be sent to the parents' phone.
Clock off functionAvailable only to parents when entering a password, which allows you to avoid force majeure situations in which a son or daughter decides to “forget” a friend’s watch
Back callFor parents' peace of mind, the program provides the ability to listen to the surrounding space through the gadget's microphone.
Voice messagesFor two-way communication
SOS buttonThe watch makes a call to one of the trusted numbers

Pros of the mobile application:

  • versions for both Android and IOS;
  • a wide range of configuration functions;
  • for free;
  • Russified interface.

user's menu

  • Personal Information . Here you can view and change the login that was specified when registering SeTracker, the child’s name, gender, phone number and email address.
  • List of devices . If you have several children in your family, and each has their own watch, you can add another device in this menu and you can control several children at the same time.
  • Password . You can edit the password or replace it with a new one.
  • Logging out of your account.

That's all the settings for the SeTracker application. If you still have any questions about registering or setting up the application, feel free to ask them in the comments.

Functional

Setracker functionality

When you first launch the application, a menu consisting of different rectangles opens.

Most often, the user will open the “Map”. This is where the current location of all devices registered under this account is displayed.

This menu also displays the current battery level of the tracker.

Below is the “Settings” menu, which was described in more detail above.

Below are "Rewards". Essentially, these are the same “Likes”, or hearts.

The user gets the opportunity to reward the child for good behavior, for not leaving the permitted areas, for coming home from school on time, and so on.

Everyone determines this list for themselves.

Next comes the “Messages” window, which systematizes notifications about the removal of the watch and the child leaving their permitted geofence.

To the right is “Hazard Alarm”. A useful feature if the user is worried that the child may oversleep the standard alarm signal.

When the Alarm is triggered, the device will begin to make sounds and vibrate. This method of awakening is difficult to ignore.

Even further to the right is the “Clock” window. This is not setting the time, it is activating the sound signal on the tracker. A useful feature if a child took it off and forgot where he left it.

The menu on the left consists of the following items:

Intercom – allows the user to exchange short voice messages with the child. Works only during the permitted time interval.

Health is a kind of replacement for the Fitness Tracker. The program collects data on the duration of the walk, the number of steps taken, the number of calories and information on the quality of sleep.

In this menu you can view statistics for a day or a week.

Hours using Setracker

One of the interesting features worth noting is the ability to set the parameter “average step length of the child,” which must first be measured.

A trace is the history of tracks and movements of the tracker. Also, information is systematized and stored for a certain period of time. You can set the viewing interval – day or week.

Below the track history there is a window for selecting geofences. They are installed from the settings.

If a child leaves the specified geofence, an alert will be sent to the main number.

In the “Geofences” window, you can view statistics about when and for how long the child left the permitted geofences.

At the very bottom there are two windows: “My” and “Home”. Everything here is intuitive. The left window is responsible for the main device, and the right one is the exit to the main screen.
