In this article we will look at the Kingroot program, removing the root and the program, consider why you need to remove it, methods of removal, what to do if the program is not removed. The instructions are suitable for the KingRoot program, but you can try it for other popular programs for obtaining root - Baidu Root and Root360.

What is Kingroot App

King Root is a program for obtaining root rights for Android. Most likely, if you are reading these lines, then you know about it firsthand, but you have already installed it, tried the root and you didn’t like it, the question arose of how to remove root rights.

It will be mentioned here that root is what removes all restrictions from Android, allows you to view system files, install applications that need access to system files and settings. For example, system optimizers, file managers, programs for recording video from the screen and other necessary, useful software. For example, the popular file manager Ruth Explorer requires root rights. Or you deleted files and want to restore them - here you will also need root rights.

How to start developer mode

Depending on the firmware version of the mobile device, the process may differ slightly in detail, but in general it is identical for all Android gadgets.

First, you need to go to the settings menu, which is displayed even if you change the theme with the gear element. IN

Inside it you need to find the item marked with the inscription.

By launching it, you will have open access to a menu with relevant information. Inside it you need to find the item.

When you select it, the following reference list will be available in which you should find the element.

After tapping on it, the necessary developer mode will become available, but this will not be enough to install the required application.

Additionally, you will need to allow installation of applications not from the Google Play Store.

Please note: You also need to go to the settings item that appears, and do not activate the element inside.

Working with the application

After kingroot is installed on the device, you can begin active work with it. Its special advantage is that the operating process itself is not complicated.

Conventionally, the program can be classified as a “one-click” program that performs the task assigned to it by the user in just one tap.

In this case, kingroot in one tap gives an ordinary user superuser rights or, as it is also called, root.

To receive them, you need to do just one action after launching - click on the button highlighted in green.

Then the program will do everything for you, you just need to wait for the final result.

Meanwhile, a progress item will be shown, with numbers changing to indicate the percentage of actions completed, which the user does not need to manually perform.

Kingroot will check for vulnerabilities in the firmware, which will allow you to grant the appropriate rights.

If the operation is successful, a note in orange will be displayed inside the circle with numbers indicating that a vulnerability has been found.

After this, the percentage of completed operations will change faster and eventually the number 100 will be set, which will instantly change to a message that the operation was successful.

After this, a special button will become available. When pressed, the application issues the specified access.

Why remove the Kinggut program?

There are 2 objective reasons for this:

  1. Route just didn't install. There are cases when a program fails to grant superuser rights. There is no point in the program in this case.
  2. There was a breakdown. In this case, the phone must be taken to a service center. In this case, having rights and programs to obtain them on Android are absolutely not necessary. Since if you have root rights on the device, the warranty is lost.

There are two ways to remove King root. If the first instruction fails to perform a complete deletion, you can always resort to the second instruction. Now we will look at the first method of how to remove root and the Kinggut program itself.

Removal process

It will not be possible to erase the program in the same way as other applications, because its resources are constantly active - they provide root rights. However, there is nothing complicated:

  • Open the utility;
  • In the upper right corner, click on the three dots icon;
  • Enter the “Settings” section;
  • At the bottom, select the “Remove Root rights” option;
  • Confirm your decision by clicking the “Next” button;
  • Reboot your mobile device.

How to remove Kingroot from Android using standard application tools

  • Let's go into the program.
  • Click on the upper right corner to bring up the settings menu.
  • We look for the “Remove root” button and click on it.
  • To remove the icon from the screen you need to restart the device.

You cannot remove the program using standard OS tools. The program processes are always active (after all, it is a system utility) and do not allow you to delete your files.

There are cases when the first method of removing the program from the device fails. There is a second instruction for this, but it is riskier in that it may require reflashing the device.

Installing custom firmware on Samsung

Perhaps one of the most reliable and relatively safe ways to disable root rights is to update to the next version of Android. However, if root is installed, official firmware will not allow you to update over the air.

The workaround is to update the firmware through the special Odin3 application (ODIN flash tool). It allows you to install official and unofficial (custom) firmware on your phone via a PC. There is a risk of turning your phone into a brick, but if you strictly follow the instructions on the XDA forum, everything should work out.

  1. To flash the firmware you will need USB drivers (for Samsung you can download them here).
  2. Using this root removal method, you must first uninstall SuperSu and other root-related applications.
  3. You need to install the official one, i.e. stock update (stock ROM).

Detailed instructions for flashing are available here.

How to remove root rights if the program fails

If the first instructions on how to remove Kingroot did not help, then there are only two ways.

  1. Reboot the system and try to remove it again from the instructions “How to remove Kingroot from Android”. If you managed to remove it, you should restart the device again to make sure that the Kingroot application is removed.
  2. The second option is to completely reflash the device.

You should not try to remove the application manually. The program writes itself into the system kernel. She will not allow herself to be removed.

Other programs to remove root rights

If you enter “unroot” into the Google Play search bar, many similar applications will appear in the results. That being said, it is easy to stumble upon an ineffective/unsafe root uninstaller. We recommend following the following search criteria:

  1. Rating: from 3.5 stars.
  2. The application was last updated in the current year.
  3. Availability of positive reviews under the application description.
  4. Number of downloads - > 500.
  5. Your device is in the list of supported ones (not required, but desirable).

Unfortunately, there is no stable and universal root uninstaller for Google Play. It may be available someday, but as of 2022, the only apps available that meet our criteria are:

  1. Root Uninstaller
  2. Impactor Universal Unroot

Analogs

It is worth noting that kingroot for Android is not the only program that can be used for this purpose.

If its installation fails due to the special protection of the firmware of the smartphone or tablet, then you can use several other software tools that are installed in a similar way.

These include:

  • Baidu Root;
  • Ct_root;
  • Kingo Android Root;
  • superuser;
  • Framaroot;
  • SuperSU;

They allow you to work with those firmware versions that are not available for the software product in question.

Unfortunately, not all of the utilities listed provide multi-root access, and in addition, not all of them have a Russian-language version.

It is also worth noting the existence of other applications that allow you not only to obtain such rights, but also to apply them in practice with maximum benefit.

These include KingUser and KingMaster from the same developer, often installed along with this software product.

Installation on a smartphone via a computer and obtaining Root

  1. Go to the official KingoRoot website and download the program for Windows. Install it on your computer.
  2. On your smartphone, activate the “USB Debugging” option and connect it to the PC using a cable.
  3. Launch KingoRoot, wait until the system recognizes the device and click the “Get Root” tab.
  4. Wait until the application finds your version, downloads all the necessary files and completes the operation. After the procedure is completed, the current window will contain the relevant information.
  5. Disconnect your smartphone and check for root rights.

How to install the program

Mobile and desktop versions of the application are free and available on kingoapp.com. The computer version only works with
Windows systems - XP, 7, 8, 10.
To install the program on a PC:

  1. Select Download for Windows. The file will begin downloading.
  2. Double click on the executable file android_root.exe.
  3. In the Installer window that opens, accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next.
  4. When installation is complete, click Finish.

To install the application on Android:

  1. Go to the developer's website and open the Products section.
  2. Select Download for Android. The file will begin downloading.
  3. While the application is downloading, go to the settings of your smartphone or tablet.
  4. Select General - Security.
  5. Check the box next to “Unknown sources - allow installation.”
  6. Launch the .apk file on your smartphone or tablet.

Antivirus programs installed on a computer or smartphone can detect an application as dangerous. Add it to the exceptions so that the installation is successful.

Possible problems and solutions

  • After launching the program, it cannot determine the version and brand of the phone. Solution - make sure that you have the Internet turned on, since all determination procedures are carried out through a cloud service.
  • The application does not install. Download Kingo Route only from the official website and be sure to activate the option to install programs from unverified sources, otherwise Android will block the installation. We recommend temporarily disabling your antivirus, as it may also block the installation process.
  • After receiving the rights, the application crashes. Yes, this happens with some devices. Typically, you've already gotten root, but the program just crashes. Restart your smartphone and check if you have superuser access.
  • Rooting freezes at 40%. Occurs only on some devices in which manufacturers have installed additional protection against root. In this case, the program will not help, so you can safely remove it.
  • Got temporary root. As a rule, it is issued only for a while until you restart the device. After a reboot, superuser access will be reset and you will need to perform all the steps above again. This outcome is possible on some devices, where, again, the developers have added special security rules. There is no way to solve the problem! Use temporary rights or do not reboot your phone by charging it on time.
