This article will focus on setting up a stationary router using the Huawei WS5200 model as an example, but it is also universal for other modifications, including the Honor sub-brand. I'll show you how to connect to wifi from your smartphone and establish an Internet connection.

Connecting Wi-Fi on iOS
Connecting on iOS is virtually no different from Android. To connect your phone to Wi-Fi, go to Settings → Wi-Fi, activate the On slider. After that, select the desired network from the list, enter the password if necessary, and - welcome to the Internet. Setting up Wi-Fi on iOS is absolutely not difficult.
Starting with iOS 7, you can quickly connect your device to a wireless connection through the Control Center. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen, click on the Wi-Fi icon, select the desired connection from those available in the list, enter the access code and connect.
In the future, the phone will automatically communicate with the selected network once it is within its coverage area. If you don't want this, click on the connection and select "Forget this network." In addition, you can manually adjust criteria such as IP address, DNS and subnet mask. To do this, in the properties tab “Static.” enter the required data.
How to connect via Wi-Fi
The first thing you need to figure out is how to connect Honor to Wi-Fi to access the Internet on your phone. Depending on your situation, you can use one of the options below.
Classic version
The standard algorithm is as follows:
- Go to "Settings".
- Go to the “Wi-Fi” section on your smartphone.

In addition, the operation of the technology in your mobile network must be guaranteed by the mobile operator. Beeline was the first domestic operator to announce support for VoWiFI. Over time, a number of other Russian operators announced support for the technology.
What to do if the Internet on Huawei does not work?
When problems arise, always start simple:
- Make sure you are within network coverage.
- Check if there are funds in your account.
- Make sure that the Internet connection service is active for your tariff. To do this you need to call the operator.
If everything is in order with these three points, but there is still no Internet or it is malfunctioning, you need to dig into the settings.
Enable constant data transfer
First, go to Settings > Wireless networks > Mobile network.
Scroll the screen down a little to see the Advanced . In the window that opens, enable continuous data transfer.
Access point settings
Manually configuring access points in some cases solves the problem. Go to Settings > Wireless networks > Mobile network > Access points (APN).
By clicking on the exclamation mark , you can set the settings manually. Here we are interested in 3 points: APN, Username and Password:

After manually entering the data, reboot the smartphone for the changes to take effect.
Reset APN settings
This procedure also very often helps with Internet failures on your Huawei.
Go to Settings > Wireless networks > Mobile network > Access points (APN). Here you need to click on the three dots icon in the upper right corner and click Reset settings .
Next, reboot the smartphone and check if the Internet is working.
If nothing helps at all, it’s better to go to the office of your operator. Such issues are usually resolved free of charge.
Distribute via USB to computer
In order to connect your smartphone as a USB modem, you must have the appropriate cable and a free USB port on your computer or laptop. The sequence of actions when you need to distribute the Internet via USB is as follows:
- Connect the device to a computer or laptop using a cable.
- Open the settings curtain at the top of the screen.
- Select the notification that appears on the screen after connecting the cable.
- Assign the “File Transfer” function.
- Go to “ Settings” - “Wireless networks” - “Modem mode” and select “USB modem” .
