Welcome to my blog. Today we’ll chat about working with a Google account. Google is considered the most popular system. Almost every user is connected to the Internet and has a registered account, but there are also problems with data loss, and therefore in this article we will look at how to recover a Google account if I don’t remember anything. A person gets access to all Google services at once; this is a fairly large list.
Some of these tools were developed directly by Google, and some were purchased and became subsidiaries. Many services require you to enter a username and password. It’s a shame to find yourself in a situation where access to services is lost forever.
Many built-in applications and systems allow you to solve user problems. Everyone knows that the search engine works without registration, but to get advanced access you need to log in. A personal profile provides additional benefits.
How to recover a Google account if I don’t remember anything: basic methods and tips
People create business accounts and earn some income online. SEO optimizers and online store owners use Adsense to make money by placing advertisements on their Internet site. Forgetting your login and password means temporarily losing access to all tools for the site. Therefore, a number of measures need to be taken to prevent this from happening.
Step #1: fill out your system profile
When registering, it is a mandatory rule to fill in real information about yourself. There are people who prefer to indicate fake names, surnames and ages. Subsequently, this will seriously affect the process of restoring access. In some cases, receiving a code requires entering and sending your first and last name.
Suppose it happened that you forgot your mailbox and password, the only thing you have with you is your phone number. What should I do, how can I recover my Google account if I don’t remember anything? The answer is simple, first, find out your email.
Step #2: I don’t remember my email address, no problem!
Log into your Google account in the browser bar and click the “sign in” button in the upper right corner. A form will open where you can create an account, enter data, but we will need to select “forgot your email address.” In the window that appears, enter the phone number in the field and send.
You will receive a six-digit number that requires confirmation; if you choose another option and enter an email, then you will need to additionally confirm the first and last name of the mailbox that was entered instead of the phone number in the previous step. If you want all services to work together, I advise you to register Google mail. Next, select your account. And let's move on to the next step.
Step #3: I don’t remember my Gmail password
It may turn out that we forgot the password. In this case, click the appropriate link indicated in the screenshot.
Another form appears where we are told to enter a password. Use whatever password was previously applied to the profile. Some people choose to change their passwords every week or month to increase account security. The Google system does not permanently delete former passwords and stores them in reserve. Use any of them to restore access. Suppose the user did not keep records and does not remember what “passwords” he had. We'll have to go “another way.” We will click on this link.
Again we receive confirmation of the six-digit code by phone, enter it and get to the final step of filling out two password fields and confirming. You can now log in to your mail.
Option #1: You have all the information you need to recover
1Just go to .
Select the desired item
2Select the first item “I don’t remember my password” in the window that opens.
Select the item “I don’t remember my password”
3Then, enter the email address that is indicated as a backup.
Enter your email address
4A page with a window will appear on the screen where you need to write the old password. You don’t remember it, so you need to select the “Difficult to answer” option.
5Then, there is a redirect to the page to restore access.
The system sends you a code to restore your account
6The system will recommend recovering your google account using SMS or a phone call. At this point, choose the option that is more convenient for you.
7If a phone number is not specified, you need to use the e-mail that was specified in the settings as a backup. Further instructions will be sent to you, with the help of which you can easily gain control over your account.
What to do if there is no access to the phone?
It is also possible that when you log into your mail, send an SMS, and notice that the phone does not work, the SIM card is missing. If you lose your SIM card, it is possible to find out the SMS code. To do this, just go to the nearest cellular office to which you are connected and contact the operator.
Of course, take your passport with you. You will receive data about your SMS messages. But the most reliable way is to place an order for a new SIM card, it will be linked to your old number and issued to you.
Afterwards, you will resume access not only to Google, but also to other services where you used your phone number when registering.
basic information
Since a Google account gives access to many services and features. It contains a lot of sensitive information, such as payments, movements, search queries, browser history, etc.
For this reason, the level of security on the service is very high.
Account recovery can be quite complex and time-consuming, as it requires entering a huge amount of verification information in order to confirm your identity.
If you have this information, then the process can be more or less simple. But if the information is changed, lost or forgotten, then in some cases it is completely impossible to restore the account.
Google account deleted: how to get it back?
Let's say a situation occurred when a user decided to completely get rid of his Google account, and then changed his mind due to the fact that he needed information that was stored on different services of the system. After some thought, I began to solve the problem of how to “recover data”. Fortunately, the developers left a loophole. When any registered participant completely destroys their data, no erasure occurs.
A deletion request is simply sent to the company. And he will be in limbo for three weeks. After the expiration of the period, the client will no longer be able to influence his decision and change anything; the account will be permanently deleted. Therefore, if the deadline has not yet arrived, you can access the settings and use Google resources again. Reasons and limitations could be the following.
- A third party got hold of your data and passwords, and on your behalf, the deletion took place.
- Access was restricted due to spamming, but since the user decided to postpone the attempt to lift the ban, the account was eventually deleted from the system.
- The user accidentally made a mistake and wanted to delete one of the built-in additional services, “play market” cloud data storage disk drive, but instead launched a general deletion.
If one of the situations occurs when access to your account is lost due to deletion, you can use the recovery procedure. This is done using a form. In the search engine we enter the following sentence, an example in the figure.
Then click on the first link. There are two options, the first is to immediately go to the page with the form, the second is to go to technical support and make your transition from there.
Once on the page with the form, we begin to go through a step-by-step recovery procedure, which is no different from the method of logging into your account in case of a forgotten email and password.
The stages will be as follows:
- Enter your email address. email or phone, click “next”.
- Here you will receive an alert saying that the 'account' was recently deleted and you can resume using it if you follow the instructions. Let's move on to the next stage.
- Enter any of the passwords applied to your profile.
- If everything is done correctly, a “message” will appear on the screen, where it will be written that the current password has been accepted and you can log in to your Google account. Errors also occur, for example, “Confirmation not sent,” in such cases you need to make another attempt.
If you have a family and have several accounts combined into a group, and it happens that a child accidentally deletes his account, then one of the parents can restore it using their “Super Administrator” rights. As in many forums where rights are assigned by owners, in Google you can do the same, designate user rights.
As a result, the deleted account will be restored on behalf of the parent if the child is under twelve years old. Take the following steps.
- Log in to your account as a “super administrator”, i.e. one of the parents.
- Go to the page designated as a family group.
- Look for a special item where it says “recovering a child’s account.”
- After completing all the previous steps, the account will become available.
The story of a blocked Google account
If your Google account has been hacked or blocked, there is a chance to restore it, however, there are many obstacles that will appear in front of you in the form of a headache and a lot of wasted time. Of course, there is a chance of recovery, but it is not very high.
So, I'll explain my situation. At one point I was unable to log into Gmail and Adsence. When I started to enter the password from my smartphone, a message popped up that it was incorrect. I tried to log in from my computer - the same thing. And if the account, say, is not yours, but a friend’s or acquaintance’s, then the likelihood of recovery decreases even more. In my case, the account really did not belong to me, but to a friend who also could not log into it.
The obvious conclusion is that someone hacked the account and changed the password. Naturally, important mail arrived there and there was an Adsence account where I monitored my income. One would think that if a person hacked a Google account, then all other services are in his hands: YouTube, Mail and the same Adsence. The problem had to be resolved urgently, otherwise the pest could change the payment information.
How to log in from a mobile device if you forgot your password
Let's use the browser installed on Android and go to the google.com system. Then click the “login” button. Enter one of three options for your data into the form.
- Smartphone number
- Your account name.
Go to the page, select “Forgot your password?”. The system will redirect you to the next stage and prompt you to enter any password used earlier, then you have the option to select “Another method” and try to receive the data via email or phone. A letter will arrive with a six-digit number. The numbers must be entered in a special field.
It is convenient to use a mobile device, since the 6-digit code will be in the notification section and can be applied immediately. But if you are the owner of a portable device or PC, and the link is on the number of the lost SIM card, then only a backup mailbox remains, to which a letter with a confirmation code will be sent.
Synchronization after password change
After the password has been changed, you need to set up synchronization between the device and your account.
- First, go to “ Settings ” in the smartphone menu;
- then scroll through the list and select “ Applications ”;
- you need to go to the “ Installed ” list and select the “Gmail” application;
- tap on it and select “Stop” and “ Clear cache ”;
- then close the “Settings” menu and launch the application from the main screen;
- then we back up the data to avoid its irreversible deletion;
- then open “Settings” and “ Accounts ”;
- Select the Google account from the list and delete it;
- Finally, you need to add the account to the device again to update the settings.
Some tips for working with Gmail
If you forgot your gmail account password, enter your old password again to log in when you are sure that it has not been changed. Be careful: consider upper and lower case, as well as the layout of the Latin and Cyrillic alphabet.
When coming up with a security combination is not to your liking, use an online password generator. There are many such sites on the Internet. Here is a link to one of them.
By setting the parameters: uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, number of characters, you will get 10 anti-hacking options in 1 click. Copy your favorite and own it.
Create a second Google account for yourself. Log in to it when you use the public Internet via WiFi, do not link bank accounts and electronic wallets to this mail. Take care of your security yourself, because switching from one Google account to another does not cause any difficulties.
Recovering from an Android smartphone or tablet
You can also restore your account using an Android device; you can do this as follows:
