MTS Internet distribution has become a pressing request in search engines, thanks to the introduction of a line of unlimited tariff plans and an increase in prepaid traffic volumes. Internet distribution involves the use of mobile data transfer on a computer, laptop and other types of devices. Most modern smartphones running Android and iOS operating systems offer similar capabilities. It is worth considering that not all tariff plans involve the use of technology.
In this material we will look at:
- on which TPs data transmission can be used;
- cost of the service and possible additional debits;
- working with smartphone functionality;
- ways to bypass restrictions for downloading files from popular resources (including torrents).
Scandalous marketing of MTS
Most subscribers were not ready for such an innovation as an unprofitable daily tariff for Internet from MTS. Neither a wide advertising campaign nor other events helped retain the target audience.
For this reason, MTS has lost many of its regular customers who abandoned the Unlimited tariff.
To justify MTS, an argument can be made that the price is 30 rubles. per day is quite acceptable, considering the prices for similar services of other Russian operators. But the injustice lies in the fact that they set their tariffs for Internet distribution from the very beginning, and their conditions were transparent.
In the case of MTS, there was a marketing plan, which, as practice has shown, played a bad joke on its developers. Finding workarounds for subscribers is the only way to use the Internet under the conditions that were initially announced by MTS, that is, for free.
Personal opinion
Well... MTS once again managed to unpleasantly surprise. But let's start with the positive aspects.
- Packages of minutes and SMS have become more for the same money. The mobile operator added 200 minutes and SMS to each package. But this is for Moscow and the region. I haven't tested it in other regions.
- The “Unlimited Internet” option now costs 200 rubles per month. It already cost 100, 200, 350 and was free. Now it’s 200 rubles a month again. This is clearly better than the previous option - 350 rubles per month.
If we abstract from changes and comparisons with the previous version, then the tariff is quite normal. For packages of minutes, SMS and mobile Internet. It is possible to connect unlimited Internet for an additional fee. And, it would seem, what could go wrong. And all…
What I don’t like about the Tariffishche tariff plan:
- Unlimited Internet only works in your home region. Maybe one of the numerous services will already be interested in an operator who has forgotten about the abolition of intranet roaming?
- You can only distribute a limited amount of the main Internet package. And this is even without the “Unlimited Internet” option. And if you exceed the package, pay 80 rubles per calendar day on the days you use the distribution.
- File-sharing networks: 5 GB are allocated per calendar day for 75 rubles when trying to connect to torrents or other services. Are these conditions adequate? No, of course not!
If you do not take into account unlimited mobile Internet and distribution to other devices, then the tariff is quite normal. But a step to the left or a step to the right - pay, pay and pay some more. It’s scary to even imagine how much MTS can pump out of an inattentive subscriber who decides to give away the Internet.
The mobile operator focuses on the “Exchange gigabytes for cashback” promotion with the “Unlimited Internet” option disabled or on MTS Premium with the option enabled. But in the first case, we can say that this is a tariff with a mobile Internet package, and not a tariff for calls. A discount for unused gigs is not bad, but nothing more. MTS Premium is a privilege program that is still worth understanding, until I haven’t seen any cool offers there. But what I would focus on is a bunch of conditions in a detailed description that can suck money from the balance. And it is especially noteworthy that compared to the previous version of the tariff, where everything was already bad in this regard, MTS added an automatically connected paid distribution when the main package for distribution is used up - for 80 rubles per calendar day. And the days themselves are calendar days! Not 24 hours, but until 12 o'clock at night. For example, if you started distributing at 23 o’clock, you will be charged 80 rubles for 1 hour, and then, if you continue to distribute after 12 o’clock at night, another 80 rubles will be charged for the next day.
If you decide to connect a tariff, and I remind you that under certain usage scenarios it is not so terrible, then I would recommend that you further study all the conditions in the detailed description in your region. This is exactly the kind of tariff where without it you can’t go anywhere.
Important information for MTS Unlimited subscribers
Before considering ways to level the restrictions on Internet distribution Unlimited, you need to take note of the following. Sharing the Internet with the device is prevented by the operator’s control, which he exercises via TTL.
Next, you will learn about how TTL works, because without this basic information it is impossible to proceed further.
TTL operates as follows:
- It is given its own value by all devices that are taken into account at the time the operator sends a package of services.
- With TTL, the packet passes through a special router. As a result, its value is reduced by 1. For example, if we take the standard value for mobile devices, which is 64 units, during the transition it will decrease to 63.
- The decrease in value is monitored by the operator, which allows him to quickly respond to the fact of distribution without his permission.
Basics
One of the operator’s main checks to determine distribution is checking the TTL (time-to-live) parameter. Both in Tariffische and in Unlimited they also did this check based on this number. And as soon as anything diverges, it is immediately prohibited. I'll try to briefly explain what it is:
- TTL – number.
- The TTL decreases by 1 each time a network packet passes through a node (phone, router, provider router, etc. up to the site).
- TTL is designed to limit the endless search for a target on the network (for example, if it is set to 32, then no more than 32 route points can be used to search for the final site, and if exceeded, the connection is reset).
- Using the TTL at the intermediate node, the number of points passed can be calculated.
How to distribute Internet on MTS Unlimited effectively?
For a long time, specialists have been testing various methods that make it possible to change TTL, but practice has shown that not all of them are suitable for subscribers.
Basically, after restarting the device, the TTL value returns to its original value. Therefore, the priority task remains to find a method for recording the value. This will allow the method to be much more effective when working with the device, and the subscriber, in turn, will not have the need to return to this problem again and again.
How to distribute Internet traffic and not pay for it? Special applications TTL Editor, TTLFixer or TTL Master will help with this. Their advantage is ease of use and high efficiency of the work done. Their nuance is that after each restart of the device, the application program will need to be activated and the TTL updated.
To start using one of these applications, you just need to download and activate it.
Due to the simplicity of these actions, instructions are not needed.
Reviews
Above, we figured out whether it is possible to share the MTS Internet, and how to do it. The most popular method for company users is to use the General package option.
To better understand the benefits of the function, here are some reviews:
- “I am completely satisfied with the service. MTS allows you to share the Network with five people. But there are situations when the option is not needed. If there are no paid services within three months, a daily fee will be charged. The company explains that this is a feature of the package and you must perform at least one paid action within 90 days. This point must be taken into account when connecting.” Stanislav, 43 years old.
- “I recently decided to sign up my parents for the General package. And here I encountered several difficulties. Firstly, when connecting through your personal account, it always gave an error. Secondly, for a long time I could not set limits for the first and second numbers (25 GB are automatically set). Over time, all the issues were resolved, but an unpleasant aftertaste remained.” Boris, 27 years old.
- “The General package service is convenient when you need to connect relatives or friends to one tariff plan. That's exactly what I did. The problem is that I didn’t set limits right away, and the monthly traffic was quickly lost. At the same time, I myself almost never went online. If you enable this option, be sure to set restrictions on each participant.” Alexander, 35 years old.
To share the Internet in MTS, you can use both an external connection and the capabilities of the operator itself.
Each person makes his own decision which option suits him best. If our article helped you, please like it!
Second way
The second way to bypass the ban on wi-fi distribution on MTS Unlimited allows you to make your phone a source for all the devices you need for free. This is possible provided you have ROOT rights. To get them, do the following:
- Download the King ROOT application to your phone.
- Install ARK and launch the application.
- Click on the green button.
Obtaining ROOT rights may not be possible. This is affected by the mobile phone model and its firmware. If you fail, try again using the applications: “SuperSU”, “FramaRoot”, “Root360”. Remember, by obtaining rights of this type, the user is at risk, since he is deprived of any guarantees for his own device. TTL adjustment from an Android mobile device occurs according to the following algorithm:
- Download a special program called “TTL Master” to your device.
- Install the downloaded application and launch it.
- Find a circle with numbers on the interface where the indicator 63 is located.
- Go to settings
- Correct the TTL value to 64.
- Save.
- Return to the main page and select the “Bypass restrictions” command.
- Reboot your smartphone or send it to “Flight”, and after a minute return it to normal mode.
If all actions were performed correctly, you will not receive messages from the MTS operator with appropriate warnings or notifications of violations.
- on which TPs data transmission can be used;
- cost of the service and possible additional debits;
- working with smartphone functionality;
- ways to bypass restrictions for downloading files from popular resources (including torrents).
Via USB
MTS does not provide the ability to transfer gigabytes to another number. But you can try using your phone as a USB modem. This function is provided on most modern smartphones. To do this, you will need a double USB cable - each end must be connected to a smartphone port.
The algorithm of actions is as follows:
- We connect two devices with a cable.
- In the settings, look for the “Modem mode” item.
- This section indicates possible options for Internet distribution. Select “USB modem”.
- Next to this name you need to move the button to the active position.
Typically, operators do not impose any restrictions on this way of sharing their gigabytes.
At what MTS tariffs can you distribute Internet?
Mobile TeleSystems offer 2 main tariff lines for mass use - “Unlimited” and “Smart”.
The first option includes no restrictions on transmitted and received data packets. To access the World Wide Web, you will have to:
- Pay for an additional package of services that opens up the possibility of distributing the Internet.
- Perform third-party system settings, which is an alternative solution without extra costs.
It is recommended that you first read the detailed description of the characteristics of the TP used. “Unlimited” in some regions uses some restrictions on high-speed traffic packages. Using this data, your channel will be reduced to 64 kb per second. Detailed information can be obtained on the corresponding page of the official website, or from the support service of the telecommunications operator.
In the second case, the volume of traffic is fixed and expands for an additional fee. Other TPs also work on this principle (“Tariffische”, “Hype”...). Data transfer here is free of charge without the need to install additional software. There are also no speed limits: it all depends on the network throughput characteristics and the technical capabilities of the smartphone used.
How the package is spent
The initiator can share the MTS Internet, taking into account the coverage area and traffic volume for a specific tariff plan. There are no priorities in the provision of services between the creator and group members. The initiator has the right to set a personal limit for each connected use. In this case, he will only be able to share a certain amount of MB per day.
After the end of the package, participants use their tariff plan and pay for services taking into account the operator’s conditions. Access to the Network stops until the GB is updated. To continue using the Internet, you can enable the Turbo button function. If the initiator is blocked, the latter will not be able to share access to the Network with other participants until the problem is resolved. As in the previous case, you can activate the Turbo button function, which is only available to users connected to the group.
A special feature of the general package is the ability to use the service outside the country. To do this, the Zabugorishche function must be enabled. The additional fee for using the option is debited only from the creator of the group, regardless of who used the money during the trip. The general Internet package is not available when traveling.
How much does it cost to distribute Internet on MTS?
From the above material it follows that anyone with the appropriate smartphone and software can distribute MTS Internet. Wherein:
- Classic data transfer from the Bezlimitishte tariff plan to a laptop or PC involves writing off 30-50 rubles per day. The price depends on the region of your service and is communicated to the subscriber in advance.
- All tariffs with prepaid traffic volume receive this opportunity for free. In this case, you need to familiarize yourself with additional requirements and active services on your number, which may affect how you use the service.
If you don't want to pay extra money for mobile communications, you can use a number of alternative methods. It is worth warning that MTS considers this as a violation of the service agreement and may apply penalties to clients (for example: write off funds for the period of time when the user used the data transfer function without paying for the corresponding service). Such cases occur very rarely, but they do occur.
Is it possible to share gigabytes of Internet on MTS?
Many subscribers are concerned about the question: is it possible to share gigabytes of the Internet on MTS? Yes, this provider provides its users with such an opportunity, but for this, the one who wants to distribute the Internet and the one who receives it must be MTS subscribers. Also, this procedure is only possible with the “Our Smart” tariff package, the cost of which is 1,000 rubles per month for 25 gigabytes, which can be distributed to friends.
If you have a different tariff plan, you can switch to “Our Smart” through your personal account, go to the “Tariffs” section, select the desired package and click the “Go” button. If the subscriber is new, you need to find the “Tariffs and” tab on the MTS website, select “Our Smart” and agree to connect.
To distribute the network, you need to find the “My MTS” section in your personal account, go into it and open the “General package” tab. Here the user will have access to all the information regarding the data - how many minutes you have left this month, how many gigabytes you can use, the number of SMS messages.
On this page there is a subsection “Invite participants”, where you can configure the necessary parameters for distributing the Internet to other subscribers. In the window that opens, you need to specify the phone number of the user to whom you want to send gigabytes and indicate their number. For example, if you have only 25 GB on your tariff plan, and you specify five users, each of them will receive 5 GB to use. To complete the distribution, you must confirm the action with the “Start sharing” button.
If all actions are completed correctly, you will receive a message “your request has been accepted for processing,” and after a few minutes information about the successful processing of the request will be delivered and the number of the participant who will receive gigabytes will be indicated. The second subscriber will also receive a message that he is connected to the common group and will receive additional Internet minutes allocated to him. The “Unlimited” tariff from MTS is great for smartphone owners and is one of the most favorable tariffs for users.
Note! To distribute the Internet to other users, you need to make sure that you have enough free gigabytes.
Distributing MTS Internet from a phone
Most modern smartphones support the ability to distribute the Internet to other devices in some ways. Here you can note:
- Using Wi-Fi. A classic option that allows you to connect to your phone from several devices at once. It is worth noting that when using the “workaround” method, additional configuration will be required for each of the computers connected to the network.
- Bluetooth. Similar to the above method but offers less coverage and data transfer speed.
- USB cable. Connecting to a PC may require additional installation of drivers or a corresponding program (for example: iTunes when working with Apple devices). In this case, you need to select the “Internet distribution” mode on your phone, and not file transfer (set by default).
How to exclude a user
Sometimes the situation develops in such a way that the creator of the group wants to disband it, or the participant wants to leave it on his own. There are quite a few reasons - the desire to change the provider, connect to a new, more profitable package, for example, today MTS offers its subscribers the “Tariffishche” package with unlimited Internet.
To disband a general group you must:
- Log in to your “Personal Account” on the operator’s website.
- Dial the combination “*434*0#”.
To remove a member from a group:
- log in to your “Personal Account”;
- dial the combination “*434*3*7” and the number of the subscriber you want to exclude.
After some time, an SMS message will be sent to your phone indicating that a specific participant has left the general group.
How to bypass blocking MTS Internet distribution
Bypassing MTS restrictions is the most difficult point in this material. Let's look at a little theory: the TTL parameter is used to determine the type of device and the number of intermediaries during signal transmission. It is individually assigned to each gadget and sent for further processing to the operator’s server.
When organizing signal transmission from a smartphone to a computer, the TTL indicator will constantly change, which will give the appropriate signal to activate an additional service and debit funds from your personal account balance. To avoid this, you need to perform additional setup on your computer.
Using the Windows operating system as an example, the process of changing data is as follows:
- You need to open Registry Editor. To do this, enter “regedit” in the search window (in the Start menu) and submit your request.
- Here you need to go to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE directory, select the SYSTEM section, then CurrentControlSet, services, the Tcpip folder and the Parameters section in it.
- Now you need to create your own registry entry. To do this, click on the “Create” item and in the window that appears, select “DWARD parameter (32 bit)”.
- The name (parameter) must be “DefaultTTL” and the value must be 65.
- Similar actions must be performed in the “TCPIP6” folder, which is also located in the “Services” section.
- Save your changes. For correct operation you will need to restart your computer.
Now you can create an access point and connect to it. The correctness of the above actions can only be verified experimentally: if the message about the withdrawal of funds did not arrive, everything was done correctly.
How to bypass MTS restriction on Torrent
When considering how to circumvent the ban on MTS Internet distribution, it is worth additionally noting the popularity of torrent trackers. Such software provides access to free downloading of many files (documents, films, games, music and other categories). The above actions are demanding on the amount of available traffic, which makes it recommended to use “Unlimited” for such purposes.
Classic options with prepaid traffic volumes can be accompanied by the emergence of large debts. The above method of removing restrictions from “Unlimited” also allows you to work with torrents.
Some time ago, the “Smart Unlimited” tariff plan was released, containing 10 GB of traffic. People used it to distribute Wi-Fi. But the MTS company decided to make money on this - Internet distribution began to cost 30 rubles per day. This works out to be more expensive than the monthly tariff fee. This injustice can be eliminated. In this article we will talk about how to bypass restrictions on Wi-Fi distribution on the “Smart Unlimited” tariff.
Gift of traffic using the General package option
MTS took care of its customers and provided a special General Package feature. It is available for the Our Smart tariff plan. To connect, just activate the service and indicate the numbers of people who will use one package. Potential users must confirm their willingness to use this option.
Description
General package - the ability to use shared traffic in the Our Smart tariff plan together with other network users. To give MTS Internet to another subscriber, you need to create a group and bring several users to it. In this case, the initiator's package becomes available to all declared participants. Other services are provided according to a standard tariff plan and are paid for by the company's clients themselves.
Restrictions
To share the Internet from MTS to MTS, both users must be connected to the same Our Smart tariff plan. Subscribers of other tariffs must change their tariff in order to use the service. Providing access to the Network is available to any subscriber of the provider within the home region connected to Smart plans - Unlimited 052016, Unlimited 092016, Tariffische, For tablet or X. The General package option is not available to users of other operators and plans.
Price
Before dividing the MTS Internet, the initiator of the group must understand the payment features. Within the package, traffic fees are charged only to the group creator. After adding the first participant, the person is connected to the General package. In this case, 50 rubles per month or 2 rubles per day are written off. When adding other participants, the payment amount does not change and does not depend on the number of people.
Payment for the service is taken according to the following principle:
- on the day of connection, and then every month on the same date;
- if on the day of debiting there is not enough money in the account of the group initiator, a fee is charged once a day in the amount of 2 rubles until the balance is reset to zero or it is replenished to withdraw the full amount for the month;
- if the situation discussed above occurs, the date of the next debit is set taking into account the day of replenishment of the account to pay for the option for the entire month;
- if a number is blocked, payment is charged after it is unblocked (if the blocking period exceeds 30 days, payment for this period is not taken);
- money is charged only after receiving confirmation from the first participant.
Users who are part of the group do not pay to receive traffic.
The initiator can share the Internet within the limits of the existing MTS tariff. After the end of the available MB, access to the Network is closed, and participants receive a corresponding SMS and are redirected to the website i.mts.ru to renew the service using the Turbo button function. A similar situation occurs if the limit is exceeded.
How to use?
To donate gigabytes and megabytes to MTS, you need to create a group, add up to five members to it and wait for their confirmation. After this, participants use all the possibilities - Internet, SMS and even package minutes. There is no need to carry out any additional actions, because the translation is carried out automatically.
How to add a user?
Before sharing the Internet on MTS, you need to invite a person to the group. This can be done in three ways:
- Through your personal account. Enter the number of the user you want to share with and click the “Start sharing” button.
- Using the My MTS application. It is enough to log in using your personal data.
- Dial *434*1# from your phone and indicate the number of the subscriber with whom you want to share.
- Enter the command *434*1*7YYYYYYYYYY#, where instead of YYYYYYYYYY you must indicate the participant’s phone number (eight is not entered). You can also enter another code - *434*1#, and then indicate the person’s phone number.
To transfer Internet traffic from MTS to MTS, you must wait for confirmation from the invited person. If a future participant is connected to a tariff without a monthly fee and without the included Internet VIP, Internet Mini, Internet Super, Internet Maxi, SuperBit, Bit, MTS Tablet or MTS Connect functions, he is connected automatically.
In other cases, the subscriber receives an invitation to join the group, which must be accepted. Before a user can share the Internet, they must confirm participation in one of the following ways:
- Send an SMS with the phrase Yes to the number from which the message came. If there are several offers, you need to type the text YES#YYYY, where YYYY is the last digits of the subscriber to whom the person wants to connect. There is no need to pay for SMS if the person is in the Russian Federation and home region.
- Log in to your Personal Account and click the Accept invitation button.
In both cases, the person who decided to share the Internet. Receives a confirmation SMS. Approval of participation in the group is given 60 minutes from the moment the message is sent. After this time has expired, if confirmation is not received, the initiator must send an SMS invitation again. After the first subscriber connects, a common group is formed, and the Internet becomes common to all connected users.
During the connection, the ability to use your own minutes, SMS and MB of the Network is suspended until the stocks of the general package run out.
How to exclude a user?
Knowing how to gift MTS Internet traffic to a friend, you can quickly assemble a group and share access to the global network within the existing package. But during use, situations are possible when the initiator wants to remove one or more participants.
The initiator can remove a person from the group in the following way:
- log into your personal account, select the person you are interested in and click Remove from group;
- dial the command *434*3*7YYYYYYYYYY#C, where instead of YYYYYYYYYY is the phone number of the subscriber who needs to be deleted;
- dial *434#, and after the call select item 2 and then 1.
The initiator can disband the group in the following way:
- via personal account by deleting all participants;
- dial the command *434#, and after that 2 and 2;
- dial *434*0#.
If desired, a participant can leave the group himself. This can be done in the following ways:
- via your personal account by clicking the Stop Use button;
- enter *434# on the phone, and after that 2 and 2;
- indication of the code *434*0#.
When a participant performs such actions, the initiator receives a corresponding notification that the member has left the group. From now on, he will not be able to share the Internet with the logged out user.
What you need to know
If you look at it sensibly, MTS acted dishonestly towards its subscribers. Why not reciprocate, because what difference does it make where users spend their traffic?
To control Wi-Fi distribution, telecom operators use TTL (stands for “Time to live”). It's difficult to explain what it is. Let's consider only the principle of operation:
- All devices set their own TTL value, which is taken into account when sending data packets to the network.
- The packet passes through the router and then decrements its value by one. For example, from 64 (the standard value used by mobile devices) to 63.
- The carrier monitors this and knows when the Wi-Fi goes live.
Next, we will consider both methods in detail.
What is the problem and how to fix it
Russian mobile operators strive to earn extra money when you turn your smartphone into an access point and enable mobile Internet distribution to other devices. They indicate their tariff in the terms and conditions on the website. Another story with MTS. When Smart Unlimited appeared in 2016, it was initially assumed that there would be no fee for distribution. But it was introduced after the fact.
Several years have passed and the situation has not changed. The website does not indicate how much it costs to distribute Wi-Fi to MTS Unlimited. The amount of 0.90 rubles per day, which is periodically posted on the website, is a “promotional” amount and lasts only a few weeks. The normal rate after this is about 30 rubles per day. If you use this tariff for a whole month, the fee will be more expensive than the cost of the tariff.
For MTS Unlimited, bypassing the WiFi distribution ban is relatively easy. The mobile operator uses the TTL parameter to understand whether you have shared the Internet. There are several ways to determine this, but MTS and other operators most often use this parameter.
What is TTL? When data “travels” across the network, it does not happen chaotically, but according to clear protocols. In accordance with the rules, information is divided into packets, and each of them, in addition to the transmitted data, contains technical information. TTL is one such indicator. It stands for Time To Live - the lifetime of a data packet and is needed so that the packet “self-destructs” if it is “lost” on the network. Each time you go through a new router, the parameter decreases by one. When it is zero, the data packet is not forwarded.
Let's assume that you have enabled Internet distribution from your phone in the MTS Unlimited tariff. For example, a laptop connected to the WiFi network. It receives and sends data via WiFi as soon as it “connects” with the smartphone. Its data packets pass through the phone and one is subtracted from the TTL. Next, the data packets arrive at the next router belonging to MTS. And there the operator checks the package. If the TTL is less than it should be, MTS starts limiting the distribution: counting down to 100 MB. And after they run out, they withdraw money from your account. Already in the operator’s messages or by statement at the end of the month, you will find out how much WiFi distribution costs on MTS Unlimited.
The standard Time To Live indicator is 64, 128 or 256. But Android uses exactly 64. Simply sticking to this number will show the operator that there was no Internet distribution.
I will give several ways to bypass the restriction so that you no longer worry about whether you can distribute Wi-Fi with MTS Unlimited.
Adjusting TTL on an Android device
This method allows you to make sure that your phone can transmit Wi-Fi to absolutely any device for free.
To succeed, you need to get ROOT rights on Android. This is done as follows:
- Download the “King ROOT” application. It cannot be found on Google Play.
- Install the APK. Let's launch the application.
- A large green button will appear, click on it.
Unfortunately, not everyone will be able to obtain ROOT rights. It depends on your phone model and its firmware. If this does not help, use other applications: “SuperSU”, “FramaRoot”, “Root360”.
Let's move on to the next part of the instructions:
- Download the TTL Master program. It is easily found on Google Play. But it’s better to find another version using a search engine - 3.0.1.
- Install and launch the application.
- We see the interface on which there is a circle with numbers. The value indicated there is “63”.
- Go to settings using the corresponding icon.
- Change the “TTL value” and “TTL value in the input field”. You must specify that the TTL is 64.
- Save the settings.
- Let's return to the main program interface. Click on the “Bypass restrictions” button.
Next, we make sure that the phone uses the “In Flight” mode. After a few seconds, we return the device to its normal operating mode. Without this, nothing will work.
Now you can distribute Wi-Fi without spending any money.
Is the Internet distributed free of charge on the MTS Unlimited tariff? This can be checked using the method indicated in the instructions for the computer. And also you should not receive messages from MTS.
Operators do not have to control how users use traffic. Therefore, above are instructions that will help save your money. It is suitable not only for MTS, but also for other cellular operators.

On the computer
This section is for those who connect to the distributing smartphone from a computer or laptop. I present detailed instructions for changing TTL.
- Launch the registry editor. The easiest way to do this is by pressing the “Win + R” keys and entering “regedit” there:
On Android
Now is the time to move on to smartphones. Perhaps, most often they try to distribute the Internet. Especially if we are talking about schoolchildren) Here, too, you can safely change our TTL. We will try.
You need to change the TTL not on the distributing phone, but on the one that is connected.
To make changes, you need to gain ROOT access on your phone. The easiest way is to install the King ROOT, SuperSU or their equivalents. The methods look individually to your model, our article is not about that. Not all devices can be rooted.
And now instructions for further actions:
- Install and launch the TTL Master application via Google Play.
- The screen should display a number (usually 63). Our task is to increase it by one. Enter the value 64 in the field and apply:

Some reported that the SIM card was tied to the device based on IMEI hardware. If you really want, on special forums like w3bsit3-dns.com you can find instructions for your handset on how to replace it, but I don’t recommend doing this initially - there is a risk of getting a “brick”, and the limitation is mainly still imposed by TTL.
In another strange instruction I saw working with the hosts file - they say the tariff plan operator can block individual addresses. Then here you can enter the values by hand, but for me it’s easier to initially change your DNS to public from the same Google. Then everything will fall into place.
That's all! I hope this information was useful to you and you were able to bypass the MTS restriction. If you have anything to share, additions, questions, write in the comments to this article. It will be useful for all readers to hear a current opinion from the outside, because operators do not sleep, and the ways of blocking and bypassing are changing.
