Setting up fonts

Sometimes it is not the size of the content on the page that needs to be adjusted, but the fonts. For example, make them larger or smaller.

Go to “ Settings ” and here in the “ Design ” block select your preferred font size. The default is " Medium ".

Possible options:

  • Small
  • small
  • Medium (recommended)
  • Big
  • Very big

Next you can adjust the fonts. Go to the options block, and here you can set the font sizes more precisely. Change the font itself.

For a single page

A common situation is poor website design. A font that is too small or large can make the content difficult to read. To fix this, you can do the following:

  1. Open the desired page.
  2. Click on the browser icon in the upper left corner again to display the menu.
  3. You will immediately notice “Scale” in the list. To change it, just use the plus and minus located on either side of the set value.

This method does not have any effect on the scale set for other pages. Also, to speed up the process, you can use a key combination by simultaneously holding down Ctrl and plus/minus . Instead of the latter, you can simply turn the mouse wheel.

Zoom options

There are two ways to change the scale of pages in the browser. In the first case, the scale is set for all sites, and in the second - for a specific page.

Method 1: Change the scale of all sites

To set the scale of all pages:

  1. Open the main menu of the program.
  2. Select "Settings" . You can also go to this section of the browser by pressing the keyboard shortcut Alt+P .
  3. In the design section, select the desired option in the item "Page Scale".

Now all sites will automatically scale to the selected value.

How to reduce the size of Opera browser bookmarks

By default, the size of Opera bookmarks is large; initially, in the settings of the latest version, the bookmark tiles look like this (see screenshot).

If you have a lot of bookmarks, this view can be inconvenient, and the graphical display of a specific bookmark can also be distracting. You can change the size of bookmarks by holding down the Ctrl key and scrolling the wheel forward/backward, adjusting to a convenient level. Or switch the type of display of bookmarks from tiles to a list and back.

Method 2: Set the scale for specific pages

Sometimes the scale needs to be changed only for some pages:

  1. Go to the page whose scale you want to change.
  2. Open the browser's main menu.
  3. In the “Scale” , set the required value.

Note: to the right of the scale settings window there is a button that will reset the scale to the default settings.

You can also change the site scale using the mouse and keyboard. To increase the display of a resource, you will need to hold down the “Ctrl” and roll the mouse wheel up or press the plus sign on the keyboard. To zoom out, you will need to click on the minus sign or scroll the mouse wheel down. In both cases, this should be done while holding down the “Ctrl” .

To view the list of sites that have a non-standard scale installed, you will need to do the following steps:

  1. In your browser settings, go to the section "Content Settings".

  2. After that in "Scaling".

On the page that opens, you can see what parameters are set for certain resources and, if necessary, delete them, restoring the default value.

Opera browser settings

Now let's look at how to change the scale of Opera using the capabilities of the browser itself. In the first versions of the program, this could be done using the slider located at the bottom of the page on the right side. While on any website, you could just move it by grabbing it with the mouse, as a result of which the size of what was depicted on the sheet would change.

In new versions of the Internet browser, the situation has changed a little, and the developers have removed the slider, so you will have to act in a different way. First, go to Settings. This can be done either through the Tools button (Opera) or by pressing the combination Ctrl and F12. In the window that opens, go to the Web pages tab.

Next to Page Scale you will see this parameter as a percentage. If you want to change it, then click on the triangle located in the corner, as a result of which a list of possible sizes will appear. If you set a highlight next to the Fit to width inscription, the browser will automatically resize the pages so that they will be displayed on the entire screen.

In addition, you can change not only the page scale in Opera, but also the size and type of text font. In this case, the pictures will remain untouched. This will allow you to read the text without any problems even for people with reduced vision. Once you change the settings, web pages will be displayed according to your settings. If sites have been opened, then in order for the changes to take effect, they will need to be updated.

Changing the scale in Opera, like any other browser, is quite simple. To do this, you can use both “hot keys” and Internet browser settings. The difference is that in the first case you temporarily change the scale. If you change the settings, then in the future sites will open exactly as you set the settings.
