Is your iPhone asking for your Apple ID password again and again? You are not alone. This is a known error that appears from time to time, sometimes after an iOS update, sometimes due to iCloud issues, or one of the other reasons we'll discuss in this article. Luckily, it's quite easy to fix the problem and stop your iPhone from repeatedly asking for your passcode—read on to find out how.

Having an iPhone stuck in this weird iCloud login loop can be very frustrating. Luckily, help is at hand. We have five different fixes in this feature.
Before we publish these fixes, it looks like there was a bug today: January 26, 2022 that is causing people to see the message "Update your Apple ID settings: Some account services require you to sign in again." There are user reports indicating this message appears on iPhones and Apple Watches. This may be due to the Apple iCloud server outage that occurred on January 25, 2022.
The Apple System Status Page indicates that there are problems with iCloud Backup, iCloud Mail, iCloud Storage Update, iCloud.com, iMessage, and Game Center. However, the System Status page now states that "All services are running normally" and that "6 issues were resolved today."
The software update (iOS 15.3) is expected later this week, but it hasn't arrived on the iPhone yet, so we're guessing it's not connected.
While we wait for Apple to fix this particular issue, you can try the following tips to see if they help:
Touch ID instead of password in the App Store
If you have an iPhone 8 or lower, you can make purchases and download content from the App Store using Touch ID (fingerprint verification).
Step 1. Enable Touch ID to download content. Let's go to Settings - Touch ID.
Step 2. Enter a password to identify the user. Let's enable the use of Touch ID for purchases in the App Store.
Step 3. For any purchase or download of content from the App Store, we confirm the action using Touch ID.
Fix 5: Sign out of iCloud
If none of the above steps fixed the problem with your iPhone, we advise you to try signing out of iCloud and then signing in again. Follow these steps (the process is slightly different depending on the version of iOS installed on your device):
- Open settings
- Click on the area at the top with your name - this will take you to iCloud settings. (Older versions of iOS had the iCloud header).
- Scroll down and click Sign Out.
- Enter your Apple ID password to turn off Find My iPhone.
- Tap Turn Off.
- Now log in again.
- We recommend rebooting your iPhone again at this point by following the steps in the first sentence above.
Resetting iCloud may fix the problem, but if that doesn't work, move on to our next suggestion.
How to connect a SIM card to Apple ID?
First of all, it’s worth figuring out how you can enable the ability to pay by card. The easiest way to do this is in iTunes.
In order to connect this type of payment, you will need to go to iTunes on your PC and find the “account information” tab there. Here the user needs to enter the “edit” tab, which will be highlighted in blue on the right side.

Disconnect iCloud to reconnect
From time to time, often after a major iOS update, you'll receive notifications in iCloud that ask you to sign in. This goes on and on and on. And if at the beginning the use of the gadget is tolerable, then after a few days it becomes unbearable and the iPhone constantly asks for the Apple ID password. However, this problem is quite easy to fix; to do this, you need:
1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Click "iCloud".
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Log Out".
4. Click “Logout” in the pop-up menu.
5. Tap “Delete from my iPhone” in the second pop-up menu.
6. Choose whether to save your browser data, news, reminders, and contact information on your phone.
7. Enter your password to disable Find My iPhone (if it is enabled).
8. Wait until the download is completed and reboot the gadget. • On iPhome 8/X, press the power up and down buttons, then hold down the power button.
• On iPhone 7, press and hold the Power button and Volume Down button until you see the Apple logo. • On iPad and iPhone 6 and earlier models, press and hold the Power button and the Home button.
Set a password for iPhone
In this part of the article we will look at how to protect your iPhone. To do this, open the “Settings” of our device and select the “Password” item. Next, click the active inscription “Enable password”. A screen appears in front of us, prompting us to enter a four-digit number, which will subsequently be our protection.
We come up with and remember four numbers (letters and special characters are not available) and enter this set of numbers twice. Now our iPhone, or rather the information it stores, is protected. From now on, to log into your iPhone, you will need to enter it each time to unlock the screen (“Lock Screen”).

Then enter it twice and click done. Using this method, we removed the simple password on the iPhone and now we will use the complex one to unlock the iPhone.
When setting a complex password, the main thing to remember is that its complexity not only limits prying eyes from viewing your information, but also increases the variability of situations in which protection will become a limitation for you if you forget it. The simple defense has the same requirement. But a simple password is easier to remember and harder to forget. We will touch on the question of what to do if the password is forgotten and not saved anywhere, a little later.
Additional functions
As additional protection, the same menu provides a function, by installing which you can program your iPhone to do the following: after ten unsuccessful attempts to unlock your smartphone, all data from your iPhone will be deleted.
This will guarantee the integrity of your personal data (photos, contacts and other files and applications) in the event of theft or loss of your iPhone. After 10 unsuccessful attempts to guess the password, all information will simply cease to exist. We turn on “Erase data” if you are confident that no one else will try to unlock your iPhone.
For those who do not have enough protection of personal information, and who do not like the prospect of being able to access data (even if not confidential) on a locked device, we recommend disabling the call to the control point on the lock screen. To do this, go to “Settings”, find “Control Center” and disable its calling on the locked screen.
Reset your password
If none of the previous steps worked for you and you have checked the "Apple System Status", you need to change your Apple ID password. It's a hassle, but it often eliminates a lot of problems. Changing your password is easiest to do on your Mac (or Windows PC).
- Open your web browser and go to appleid.apple.com.
- Click Reset Password.
- Enter your Apple ID and click Next.
- Select "Email Authentication" or "Security Considerations" and click "Next".
- Click “Reset Password” in the letter that will be sent to your email. Or answer the security questions.
- Enter a new password in the New Password and Confirm Password fields.
- Click Reset Password.
- Now try entering a new password on your iPhone when it asks for it. This should fix the problem.
