The main disadvantage of using PR may be that some people will download updates with the latest options, changes and amendments with a slight delay. If you start manually checking the new releases, the browser will most likely not detect the released updates if the period that has passed since the release has not passed the active period. The company will probably change the method for receiving updates in the future. So that those people who are interested in new updates receive them first.

Chromium-based Edge browser now installs automatically via Update Center
Microsoft has made the Chromium-based Edge browser available to Windows 10 users via Windows Update. If previously Edge had to be manually downloaded from the company’s website, now this process occurs automatically.
After installation, the system will need to reboot. In the future, updating the browser will be possible directly from the application. The automatic browser replacement procedure will transfer your Start menu contacts and shortcuts, as well as your taskbar contacts and shortcuts. The previous version did not replace Microsoft Edge (Legacy). It did not include elements from the final build, including support for ARM64 processors for Windows 10. New versions of Edge are scheduled to be released every 6 weeks.

Version 1909 does not require additional updates.

How to prevent the new Microsoft Edge from disabling the old version
If you need to have two versions of Microsoft Edge installed simultaneously on your Windows 10 computer or laptop, here's how to do it:
- Go to the registry editor (press Win+R keys, enter regedit)
- In Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\
- Create a subsection in it and name it EdgeUpdate
- In this section, create a DWORD value (32-bit even on Windows 10 x64) named Allowsxs with a value of 1.

New loading panel
