Good afternoon friends. How to enable incognito mode on Android? This mode allows a person to quietly access various resources, order various things in online stores, and make various online applications. In this case, your browser will stop recording your login history on various sites. The same applies to requests.
Most modern Android phones support this option. But not every user knows how to use this stealth mode on your mobile gadget. Let's take a closer look at how to enable incognito in browsers such as Yandex Browser, Google Chrome, Opera, Mozilla and Mi browser, which is now installed on most Xiaomi phones.
What does incognito mode mean on Android?
This mode is an option that allows a person to secretly access various resources, watch videos, make comments, etc. This option is especially relevant if you are using someone else's computer or someone else's global network. In this case, the computer owner will not know which sites or pages you visited and what passwords you entered.
But you won't get complete secrecy. Your provider and the webmaster who owns the resource you visited will be able to know that you have visited a certain resource. But, during normal activities, this is usually enough.
How does stealth mode work?
A person enters some tab secretly. He can access it from a tablet, phone, or computer. At the same time, in most cases, such a page takes on dark tones. This fact makes many users feel calm. After this, the user has the opportunity to browse various sites and download files without worrying about privacy.
Remember : this mode is enabled in every browser. But, do not forget that it protects your information only from acquaintances, friends and relatives. Internal affairs officers with hackers, if they need it, can easily receive information about your visits to various resources.
How to remove forever
Download and install Incognito Gone. This application removes privacy forever from any browser. It is impossible to restore anything back. Reinstallation will help, but not always.
Log in to the program. Click “Disable” next to the Google Chrome name.
Turn on the Parental Controls feature. It will not permanently remove privacy in Google Chrome. But it will come in handy when you can’t get rid of it completely.
Alas, it is impossible to eradicate the anonymity function on smartphones and tablets.
Incognito mode in Yandex on Android
- Launch Yandex Browser by clicking on it;
- Next, we need to click on the “Settings” of the browser (3 dots), which are located at the top right;
- A window pops up where the “Incognito tab” icon is located. Let's click on it;
- The browser view has changed to dark, and we see the inscription “You are in Incognito mode” (I couldn’t even take a screenshot, since Incognito mode prohibits taking it!);
- To exit this mode, click on the 3 “Settings” dots again and in the window that appears, select the “New Tab” icon.
Now you can freely access various websites without worrying about being noticed. If you decide to exit this mode, just click on the same icon in the browser settings that you clicked on before.
Why do you need to do this?
To log into your accounts
Many browsers save passwords and login information to make it easier and faster for you to access your accounts on your personal computer in the future. Private browsing makes sense in this situation, because who among us wants to log into Facebook every time knowing that there are people out there seeking digital surveillance? But with regard to smartphones, the situation is somewhat different. Smartphones participate in the general exchange of information, and besides, they can be stolen.
Logging into your various accounts in incognito mode means that the browser will not be able to save your login information or form completion data. If you sign into one of your accounts on someone else's device, you should also select the private browsing option.
When you do not want to receive targeted advertising
Private browsing doesn't block ads from appearing, but it also means your searches won't be affected by your previous search preferences. Google collects information from everywhere to tailor relevant ads to you, and if you want to avoid this and have a clean search, then private browsing is the way to go.
To use multiple accounts at the same time
Do you have two Google accounts? Do you want to enter them at the same time? Open one regular browser tab and one incognito tab.
When you want to work on something privately
This could be caused by any reason. Perhaps you want to buy some gifts or study something in secret? Browsing privately means you don't have to worry about someone else finding out about your browsing habits if they get their hands on your phone in a situation where you forget to close the browser window when you're done.
Enable secret visits in Google Chrome
- Click on this browser on the desktop;
- Next, click on the browser “settings” (3 dots);
- In the drop-down menu, select the “New incognito tab” tab;
- We find ourselves on a dark page “Incognito Mode”, which tells about this mode;
- We enter any query into the search bar and secretly surf the Internet;
- To exit the mode, we need to click on “New Tab” in the drop-down menu.
As you noticed, to enter stealth mode, in most cases it is enough for us to make 3 transitions.
Disable Private Browsing on Android Smartphone Using App
As explained above, here is an application found in the Play-store allowing you to block private browsing on your phone:
Called Incognito Away , this app simply allows you to turn off private browsing on your Android smartphone. However, be careful, the comments mention that the app does not work perfectly with all Android models.
It's up to you to test this option and make your own decision.
It only costs 0.79€ and is available directly for download in the Play-store.
Enable stealth in the Opera browser
- Click on the browser icon to launch it;
- Now, our actions will be different from the past. At the bottom of the screen, click on the icon in the form of 2 rectangles, meaning “Open Tabs”;
- On the new page, at the top we see a menu of two tabs: “Normal”, “Private”;
- Click on “Private” and see the inscription “No one will know your secrets”;
- Now you can enter queries and secretly access sites (the browser turns dark blue);
- To enter the main page we need to click on the cross at the bottom of the screen;
- To exit “Incognito Mode”, select the “Normal” menu in the privacy window.
The algorithm for entering this mode in Opera is slightly different. But the essence is the same. In this browser, open tabs turn dark.
Disable private browsing by closing the private browsing tab on your Android smartphone.
First of all, you must know how this private browsing page works so that you can deactivate it. It's very simple, all internet browsers have the option to open a tab for private browsing on the internet.
If you simply close this private browsing tab , then by default you will re-open the classic navigation page if you want to continue browsing.
In the example below, we'll close the classic internet tab because it's not impossible to take a screenshot of an incognito tab (hence the well-protected navigation!). The closing process is the same in all cases:
- Click the number at the top right to show all open tabs
- click the small cross on the tab you want to close
Note : This simple procedure does not allow you to disable private browsing on your Android smartphone, but simply close open private browsing tabs.
As explained in the introduction to this article, it is not possible to completely disable private browsing on your Android smartphone. Why is that ? Because it's an option available to Google, which simply tells you whether to use it or not.
This often very practical option should probably make money for Google, which has no interest in blocking its use.
However, there are apps that allow you to disable private browsing, but keep in mind that these apps may not work correctly and may take a long time. . At the time of writing this article, we have searched in the past for effective apps to block private browsing. Unfortunately, they are not currently available in the Play-store.
In our research we have found several tools that currently work and hopefully will continue to work for as long as possible.

- To exit this mode, click on “Mask” again and find yourself on a regular page.
Enable stealth mode in Mi browser
- Click on the browser;
- Click on the figure of the man at the bottom right “Profile”;

- Click on the little man again and you will be taken to the “You are now incognito” page. The search bar is at the top. We enter a request into it and secretly get to the desired site;
- To exit this mode, click on the “Incognito Mode” icon again and find yourself on the regular page.
What are cookies used on your phone for?
Cookies are small files that help sites show us information more quickly. Open pages without entering a password or login. These files are placed in our browsers by websites when we visit them. By default (in many popular browsers) in Yandex Browser, including the mobile version, cookies are allowed by settings. You can turn them off if necessary. But then the browser will experience errors when going to most sites.
Delete all cookies
When incognito mode is used, cookies are not saved in the browser. This is also not always convenient. For example, if you visit an online store and buy something by moving your purchases to your shopping cart, this information is stored in the cookie data. If there is an accidental disconnection from the mobile phone network, even after this you will return to the site and the selected products will be in your cart. Thanks only to cookies.
They also store information about sites visited, preferences, interests based on your choices in the past. This microdata is collected in the browser and can either be useful or cause us some discomfort. After all, no one on the Internet wants to be tracked. By deleting cookies from your browser, you will no longer be able to log into social networks and frequently visited sites without entering a password.
