Where to download Android 10 on Honor or Huawei
Huawei last fall began considering a new shell for several of its Android 10 models with the EMUI 10 shell (Magic UI 3 for Honor). But as is usually the case, some receive the update earlier, while others receive it later. There is an option to install a new shell yourself. This is a non-standard method, but it has been tested on two Honor 20 and one Honor 20 Pro - it works correctly everywhere.
Go to “Settings” - “System” - “Software Update” and click “Check for updates”. A notification appears on the screen that the installed version of the system 9.1.0.166 with Magic UI 2.1.0 is the latest, and there is nothing newer. But this is not true.
If you go to the HiCare application (you must first update it to the latest version from Google Play or App Gallery!) and in the “Update” section click on the “Check for updates” item. Here, suddenly, a new version 10.0.0.168 is discovered - the very tenth Android with Magic UI 3. But it is worth considering that if you return to the classic “Settings” and check again, the line about the available update will disappear.
Please note that the updated Magic UI shell, which is based on Android 10, can weigh from 4 to 5 GB, due to the fact that there are a lot of changes. Huawei not only added all the features of Android 10 to its firmware, but also redesigned its old design.
Now the Magic UI interface is designed in a magazine style with characteristic headings, columns and subheadings that help you navigate the system more conveniently. In addition, Huawei has improved the performance of compatible smartphones and applications, adding support for next-generation GPU Turbo technology and eliminating bugs that previously limited performance.
