How to update Honor and Huawei to Android 11? Honor and Huawei smartphones are a very popular company and today a huge number of people are using these gadgets. The issue of updating is a must. It is important to remember that the technological world is constantly evolving and expanding. An important place is occupied by such a familiar phenomenon as renewal. If you do without this function, but then your device starts to glitch and freeze. If you do not install new firmware on your smartphone, the user is deprived of new functions that will speed up performance, make it easier to use, and eliminate many problems in the system. Therefore, you should not give up something new.
: 43 Huawei and Honor smartphones will receive emui 11 firmware
EMUI is the shell of Huawei models, but some older and several inexpensive relatively new Honor brand devices also work with this add-on.
This spring, Huawei will present smartphones of the Mate 40 family. Perhaps, due to American sanctions, the new generation flagships will receive processors manufactured by MediaTek, and the announcement will be delayed for several weeks. But in any case, EMUI 11 software will debut along with future new products. Today it became known that 43 smartphones from the Chinese companies Honor and Huawei will receive the new firmware version.
Let us remember that EMUI is the shell of Huawei models, but some older and several relatively new Honor brand devices also work with this add-on. These are the 2022 models Honor 20 Lite, Honor 9X, Honor 9X Pro and Honor 9X Premium.
EMUI 11 software will become available on almost four dozen more Huawei smartphones. This list, not counting several Lite and SE versions, includes the Huawei Mate 30, Huawei Mate 20, Huawei P40, Huawei P30, Huawei Enjoy, Huawei Enjoy 20, Huawei nova 7, Huawei nova 6, Huawei nova 5, Huawei foldable flagships families Mate X and Mate Xs, as well as several available solutions from the Huawei P smart series. You will find a list of all models in the table below. Note that almost all of them were announced in 2022 and 2020. The exceptions are four models of the Huawei Mate 20 family.
There are now rumors that Huawei may abandon the Android operating system, and EMUI 11 will be built on proprietary software HongMengOS 2.0/HarmonyOS 2.0, depending on the region, which will unite all the gadgets of the Chinese company into one ecosystem. Let us remind you that in addition to smartphones, the manufacturer produces TVs, smart watches, TWS headphones, sports bracelets and laptops.
However, similar rumors already appeared last year after the introduction of American sanctions. When the Chinese company lost access to Google services, there was talk of moving to the proprietary HongMeng operating system, but the CEO said that EMUI for smartphones will continue to be based on Android. Therefore, there is a high probability that the EMUI 11 add-on will be based on a fresh version of the “green robot”.

When will Android 11 be released?
Currently, Google has not yet announced the official release date for Android 11, but it is already possible to make concrete assumptions about it. The Google Developers website has an "11 Weeks of Android" page that outlines the various phases of beta testing. It's like a countdown, since the last week of the cycle falls on the same week that Android 10 officially launched last year. This was September 3, 2022, which means Android 11 will most likely be introduced on September 1 or 8, 2022. The September 8th date was also mentioned in the developer video on YouTube, so this seems like the most likely date for now.
Huawei announced the release date of emui 11 firmware
Putting an end to a series of rumors, HUAWEI announced the release date of the proprietary EMUI 11 firmware for Android smartphones. Following the official information, a list of more than 40 smartphones appeared online, the owners of which can presumably count on a software update, as well as an insider message about the release of a new version of the brand’s own operating system called Harmony OS.
The release date of the EMUI 11 shell was announced to reporters by Wang Chenglu, President of the HUAWEI Software Department. He said that the firmware will be presented in the third quarter of this year - thus, its release will coincide with the launch of Android 11. The top manager added that the list of candidates for the update will be announced later. Soon, an unofficial list of devices appeared on the network that would presumably receive the latest version of proprietary software.

According to online sources, with the release of the new firmware, HUAWEI will continue to develop “distributed technology” that eliminates barriers between various devices: smart watches, TVs, smartphones and PCs. According to the manufacturer, such improved integration will make it possible to easily transfer information between them and use any supported gadget to manage the entire ecosystem.
In addition, insiders predict the announcement of the brand's proprietary operating system Harmony OS 2.0, which will presumably be presented during the presentation of the manufacturer's new devices in September 2020. Details about the main differences between the updated version of the OS and the previous one are not reported.
