Download music via the Internet: directly or via torrent

[contents]

It is perhaps almost impossible to imagine people who are absolutely indifferent to music. And if in Western countries tracks are paid, then in Russia, due to the distinctive features of our mentality, many people use music files completely free of charge; fortunately, there are quite a lot of methods for doing this.

Even if you don’t know exactly how you can download music to your computer, this is not a problem at all. It's very simple and you don't have to pay anything. You just need to follow a series of instructions, thanks to which you can download music, for example, download Inna’s song to your computer.

There are several basic methods for downloading music from the Internet. You can use them all at once, or you can choose one that is most suitable. So, let's take a closer look at how you can download, buy, or listen to music of various genres online.

We use search engines

The most standard method of downloading music from the Internet. When using search engines such as Google or Yandex, you can find the most suitable sites where you can. You just need to clearly define the title of the song and the name of the artist, and then write the corresponding query in the search bar. Sometimes such precise information may not be needed, since the required song can be found by writing a piece of the song's lyrics. Of course, it is far from a fact that the link to the desired song will be on the very first site, but after some time you can find what you need without any problems.

Quite often, various official websites of musicians offer to download songs completely free of charge. At the same time, everyone can support the performers by purchasing their licensed discs at very reasonable prices.

Lastfm

The home page has a nice design and user-friendly interface. Everything is laid out so that even beginners can understand it.

Website Lastfm.ru

To download songs and create a playlist, you must register and log in. Opportunities will change noticeably after registration.

After synchronizing the site with iTunes, the scrobbling function will appear on your iPod. This concept appeared precisely thanks to last.fm.

Scrobbling is the automatic saving of audio after listening.

On this resource you can watch video clips and concerts of your favorite performers.

Through access to the playlist, users can find like-minded people in music. All preference data is used to quickly search for radio stations and music albums, which are individually selected for each person.

The top music was compiled by last.fm itself. The most listened to and downloaded artists, the most current compositions.

We use social networks

Social networks are a more advanced method for downloading music from the network. This method is most popular among young people who spend a lot of time on social networks. At the same time, there are ways not only to listen to music online, but also to download it. At the moment, a huge number of people download music from VKontakte and Odnoklassniki every day. However, you cannot download songs without installing a special program or browser extension.

Download music from PC

As a rule, many people store tracks on their PC, downloading them from specialized sites or torrenting. If you have accumulated a substantial music library, then you can copy it to your smartphone. To do this, it is proposed to use one of two methods of data transfer.

Via USB

This is a classic method that is suitable for transferring a large number of files. To implement the idea you will need:

  • Connect your smartphone to your PC using a USB cable.
  • In a pop-up window on the phone screen, allow data transfer.
  • On your PC, open the “This PC” application, and then open the directory with the name of the smartphone.
  • Find music tracks in the computer's memory and copy them.
  • Right-click while in one of the phone folders and click the “Paste” button.

The copying speed will directly depend on the number of transferred tracks and the USB standard. If you transfer only one song, the action will happen instantly.

Through the cloud

Using wires to transfer data is considered bad manners nowadays, and therefore it makes sense to consider an alternative way to copy files. For example, through cloud storage, be it Yandex.Disk or Google Drive:

  • Open the service website in your computer browser.

  • Register or log in.

  • Click the download button and select tracks to upload to the cloud.
  • Install the cloud service application on your smartphone.

  • Launch the program and log in.
  • Mark the required tracks and click the download button.

Unlike the previous method, here the transfer speed will depend on the capabilities of your Internet. The better the tariff, the faster your favorite tracks will appear in the memory of your mobile device.

We use torrent trackers

Torrent trackers, namely sites where people exchange various files, including music. So if you know how to use torrents, this option will be the most optimal. But do not forget that any music has its own author, and, if possible, it is worth supporting musicians and purchasing licensed albums or discs in online stores such as Google Play or iTunes.

How to set a ringtone on Samsung

General melody

1. Open your smartphone’s settings and go to “Sounds and notifications”. Here are all the options for what you can set the ringtone to:

  • Ringtone - the item we need
  • Vibration
  • Notification sound
  • The volume also changes here

Select the option to set a ringtone - click on it. If the phone is dual-SIM, the ringtone can be set separately for each SIM card.

2. You can select preset sound options from the list or add your own music by clicking on the corresponding button. Select the option you need; in the second case, a file manager will open where you need to specify the location of the audio.

Immediately after this, music will be installed on all incoming calls, except for contacts for which you set it separately. More on this below.

Interesting! You can also set the general melody directly from the built-in player. Just open the desired song, call up the settings menu by clicking on the ellipsis at the top of the screen and set it as a ringtone.

To a separate contact

1. Go to the phone book and open the desired contact. Click on the "Change" button. If there is no button, then first click on the icon with three dots in the upper right corner.

2. At the bottom of the menu, click on the “Ringtone” item and select a ringtone - built-in or your own.

You can do this with absolutely every contact you have in your phone book. This is a very convenient function; using it, you can always determine who is calling you simply by the track played on the call.

Interesting! Through the file manager, Explorer on Android, you can also set music for incoming calls. Go to the folder where the music files are stored, hold your finger on the desired track and select the option - set to ringtone.

If the melody is not selected

If you can’t select your file so that it appears in the multimedia storage, drop the audio file into the Ringtones folder of the internal memory. Then all these files will be visible when you select a ringtone, as if they were already built into the phone. If this doesn’t work, then put the files in the Notifications directory.

Finally

Not all models, unfortunately, allow you to set your own sound on individual contacts; this limitation usually applies to budget models. In this case, you can use third-party applications, but most often they work only once.

We use other devices

If you don’t have a constant stable connection to the Internet, low speed or limited traffic, the best option would be to download music to your computer from other devices. So, for example, if you have music on your phone, you can easily transfer it to your computer; alternatively, you can also ask friends or acquaintances for a disk with music. You can buy a blank CD and ask friends to fill it with music. This way you can collect a solid collection of discs with your favorite songs, without having to waste time and effort on downloading. In fact, this option is a kind of classic, because previously it was the only one they used. This was due to limited traffic or too low Internet speed.
