The cost of this phone was 33 thousand and 40 thousand rubles for the model with 4 GB and 8 GB, respectively. A little later, the company introduced a phone with a memory capacity of 16 GB.

Which iPhone is better?

iPhone 3G

The device was announced in 2008 at the WWDC conference. This device from the iPhone series went on sale on July 11, 2008. How was this phone different from the previous generation? It received support for 3G, GPS and A-GPS. A new version of the operating system – OS 2 – was installed on it. The back panel was made of black or white plastic. This phone went on sale in 70 countries at once. It was officially sold in the Russian Federation.

The cost of the version with 8 GB is about 6 thousand rubles, and with 16 GB – 7 thousand rubles.

iPhone 3GS

This is a separate type of iPhone 3G. It can also be called modification. The S in the name stands for "speed". The device was presented in 2009, namely on June 8. The smartphone received a new 3 MP camera, it had autofocus and allowed video recording at up to 30 frames per second. The battery and processor were also replaced, a digital housing and voice control were built in. This phone received a new memory modification – 32 GB. When the next generation went on sale, the 16GB and 32GB smartphones were discontinued. Instead, a modification with 8 GB was created. Sales of the phone in Russia began on March 5, 2010. In 2013, support for this phone was completed.

The cost of modifying a phone with 8 GB is about 6,500 rubles; approximately the same amount will have to be paid for 16 GB. A more spacious version (32 GB) is sold for 7,500 rubles.

Current models

If you decide not to save money on buying new equipment, then consider the current models that have come out in recent years. Such iPhones can be purchased immediately, since a significant reduction in price is not expected even after the start of sales of new products presented in September 2022. Therefore, the flagship iPhone 12 and 12 Pro models remain the most preferred option, despite the release of the thirteenth version.

iPhone SE

iPhone XR

This iPhone, which we already mentioned, was released in 2022. Its main advantage was its affordable cost.

But in general, the characteristics are quite sufficient for use in 2021:

• The iPhone is equipped with an A12 processor and an operating system for which there are updates;
• Liquid Retina HD IPS LCD display has a diagonal of 6.1 inches;
• The 12 MP iPhone rear camera has optical stabilization, and the 7 MP front camera uses TrueDepth technology, supporting portrait lighting, depth and Smart HDR functions;
• in talk mode it can function for 25 hours, and when listening to music – 65 hours.

These parameters are quite sufficient for the average user, so the model has remained relevant over recent years and remains on official sale.

iPhone 11

In the fall of 2022, according to tradition, new models were presented, in particular the iPhone 11, which became the successor to the XR series. In 2022, it became the best in terms of sales in Russia.

The main difference from previous versions is the presence of a kind of dual camera, the appearance of which caused a wave of humor among fans of iPhone products. However, this technical solution has significantly improved the shooting capabilities. Both cameras with which the iPhone is equipped have 12 megapixels, and one of them is ultra-wide-angle, thanks to which the image area has increased 4 times and now it is possible to shoot spacious interiors, landscapes, groups of people and moving objects with better quality. It has become possible to take slow-motion shots with the front camera, that is, selfies in slow motion.

Other features of this model include the following:

• the use of the A13 microprocessor chip, which includes 6 computing cores, 8 neuro accelerator cores, and 4 video accelerator cores;
• flash memory options – 64, 128 or 256 GB;
• increased battery capacity compared to the previous version up to 3110 mAh (168 mAh more);
• RAM capacity of 4 GB;
• display with a diagonal of 6.06 inches, made in accordance with LCD IPS technology;
• improved protection against water.

iPhone 11 Pro

New products for fall 2022 are also the Pro iPhone 11 and iPhone Pro Max, which are more expensive than the model described above, released during the same period. They replaced the XS and XS Max versions. Now the best smartphone received an A13 processor and the iOS 13 operating system at the opening of sales. Today it can be updated to the current version.

Among the differences between the presented iPhone models, you need to pay attention to the following:

• availability of OLED displays;
• received updated cameras, including three modules - ultra-wide-angle, wide-angle and telephoto;
• introduction of the latest photo processing algorithms into the iPhone - Deep Fusion, as well as night mode;
• choice of colors from silver, gold, dark green and space gray.

To become the owner of such a device, you will have to overpay a certain amount. And first of all, this decision will be made by those for whom cameras are important. The telephoto camera is of particular interest because it makes it possible to zoom in when you cannot physically approach the subject. Now you can take high-quality portraits on your iPhone.

The base model of the fourteenth generation is the iPhone 12, which was released in October 2022 along with the iPhone mini 12, as well as the Pro and Pro Max models. For the first time, smartphones from this manufacturer began to support the 5G cellular communication standard.

The smaller version has a similar processor and cameras, but it has a smaller screen, weight and battery capacity.

The main characteristics include the following:

• six-core A14 processor;
• OLED display made in accordance with Super Retina XDR technology;
• presence of ceramic coating on the screen;
• dual main camera, one of which is ultra-wide-angle with a resolution of 12 megapixels and one is wide-angle with the same indicator;
• the presence of 2x optical as well as 5x digital zoom;
• front camera with a resolution of 12 megapixels;
• protection of the rear panel with an advanced glass-ceramic coating “Ceramic Shield”;
• moisture protection according to the IP68 standard, which is enough for immersion under water to a depth of 6 meters for 30 minutes;
• Five colors were immediately released - white, black, green, red, blue, and in April 2022 a lilac iPhone was added;
• the device is capable of working in the mode of listening to music for 65 hours, watching videos for 17 hours;
• Instead of a finger scanner, TrueDepth facial recognition technology is used.

Compared to the eleventh series, the display has been improved, a new processor has been added, 5G support has appeared, and the capabilities for shooting in the dark have improved. Perhaps the iPhone 12 is the best solution today, considering that professional models will most likely be discontinued and replaced with new ones, and this smartphone will remain on sale for the next few years.

iPhone 12 Pro

And finally, the top option is the iPhone 12 Pro or 12 Pro Max. These devices are characterized by flat edges, which have been a distinctive design feature since the iPhone 4.

Technical characteristics and other features in contrast to the model described above:

• the presence of only a version with 128 GB of memory, while the iPhone 12 is available in two versions - 64 and 128 GB;
• equipped with three cameras compared to two in the standard version;
• There is a big difference in the quality of photo and video shooting.

But when compared with the iPhone 11 Pro, the new version wins in terms of processor power, cameras, screen size, amount of memory in the minimum configuration and greater protection from water.

The headphones and power adapter were removed from the delivery package of all four new 2022 products, but a cable for fast charging was added. The creators justify their decision by the desire to influence the environmental situation in terms of reducing carbon emissions.

The manufacturer also notes that the main pride of these models is the new signal processing processor, which makes it possible to shoot video in the Dolby Vision standard, which is not always possible even with the help of professional video cameras. Other modern smartphones do not yet support this function.

iPhone 4

Like all iPhones, this version was presented at the WWDC conference. This took place on June 7, 2010.

A new version of the operating system was installed on it, an A7 processor (64-bit), and an M7 coprocessor was built in. A fingerprint scanner is installed. Additional color options of the phone were released - gold, space gray. The black device is no longer available for sale. The front camera received 1.2 megapixels, the rear - 8 megapixels. Video could be shot at up to 120 frames per second. Siri has become a full-fledged application since it came out of beta testing.
