Today PClegko will conduct a full review of the iPhone X. There will be a detailed review of the iPhone 10 Camera and the technical characteristics of the iPhone. IPhone X is Apple's gamble that ended up being a success. Removing the home button and changing the design is a drastic and risky step for Apple. After all, for how many years in a row iPhones were created similar to each other and differed only in size and internal filling!
The iPhone has many advantages, but there are also disadvantages:
- expensive phone;
- a metal case without a case quickly loses its appearance due to abrasions.
Of course there are more advantages. The main and undeniable thing is the combination of the latest technologies in one device. Apple developers are simply handsome in this regard! Plus, they made this device really convenient.
The iPhone tenth model is a break from the pattern that Apple mobile phones need. Beyond the original iPhone in 2007, the tenth model is influencing the company's direction. Apple itself has called this the future of the smartphone, which the company has been trying to achieve for a decade.
The loss of reliable elements such as the Touch ID fingerprint scanner, the home button, the introduction of new methods of managing and unlocking the phone is risky for an organization with established traditions of phone production. Moreover, before this, Apple had already gotten rid of the usual headphone input.
The passion for this phone speaks volumes. But is the new iPhone X really needed? Will it be able to transform a company where many of the specs Apple has introduced are already on the market (wireless charging, facial recognition, camera)?
Apple iPhone X - birthday and price
- The first episode was released on November 3rd
- The most expensive smartphone in its segment
- Comes in 256GB and 64GB options
The price of an iPhone may not fit into your mind. For our wooden ones → about 90,000 rubles for a model with 256 GB, and for 64 GB you need to pay 79,000 rubles. But Apple connoisseurs willingly buy these models.
The problems with having a new iPhone in the store are already over, and you can safely purchase a phone without waiting or queuing. This year, iPhone colors will be quite limited: black and silver.

Screen of the tenth iPhone
- OLED screen on iPhone;
- clear and bright colors;
- a high resolution;
- unusual design;
- True Tone and Face ID features.
The OLED display was not invented by Apple. Much earlier, this type of screen appeared in Samsung, even on the “wooden smartphones” of the Galaxy. The Apple company simply implemented this idea more skillfully on its phones. Before this, all iPhones had LCD displays.
The new 5.8-inch OLED display in iPhone 10 outperforms LCD screens of previous versions in many respects: sharpness, quality, adaptation to external environmental conditions. The new display also saves battery. This is due to the low energy consumption of OLED screens.
Adaptation of the screen to the external environment (under different lighting) is possible thanks to the True Tone function. This feature allows the user's eyes to rest, as if he were looking not at the screen, but at a regular book.
"Super Retina" is an HD screen that uses smart color management. Media is transmitted to the user in P3 and sRGB in such a way that real pictures, photos, websites or videos are visible on the screen. You get complete realism in color rendering.
The new screen is longer than the 5.5-inch screen of the iPhone Eight Plus. It's not noticeable. After all, it is not the size of the phone that has increased, but the size of the screen.
The screen of the tenth iPhone is not the coolest in the world, but it is the most stable in operation. This is an excellent display for viewing website content, photos and videos. It was also named the world's best based on DisplayMate's testing, which proved the iPhone X's screen to be the brightest, most colorful OLED display on the market.
iPhone X Screen Size
The increased screen size of the iPhone X was made possible by stretching the frames and eliminating the Home button. The company has long predicted getting rid of the single physical key and, starting in 2022, all models will come out with a full touch screen. Navigating the phone has become more difficult, but this will come at the cost of the updated design.
iPhone 10 received a screen 14 cm long and 7 cm wide. The smartphone is larger in size than the “seven” and “eight”, but slightly inferior to their “pluses”. The medium size is beneficial, the smartphone is comfortable in the hand, fingers can easily reach all corners of the gadget.
iPhone 10 has a screen-to-body ratio of 81.49%, which is not a record for the 2022 market. The leader in this category was the model from LG, where the figure was 83.24%. But the iPhone traditionally leads in image quality and resolution.
iPhone X front camera and screen design
Opinions about the notch at the top of the iPhone 10 screen are mixed. Some people think it looks cool, others think it looks terrible. But this was the only way to succinctly accommodate the TrueDepth camera. And it's worth it! The new front camera takes amazing pictures!
The ability to shoot high-quality media content on the front camera fully justifies Apple's decision regarding the notch at the top of the screen. Compare the front camera of iOS with Android - everything will become clear.
In a vertical position, this notch is difficult to notice. However, if you turn the device horizontally to watch video, it will be more noticeable.
Another cool feature of the iPhone X is HDR playback. The smartphone can recognize video in Dolby Vision and HDR10 encodings.

Specifications
The six-core processor of the A11 Bionic version is 25% more powerful than in previous versions. It is capable of processing billions of operations per second! iPhone 10 does not always use not all 6 cores, but only 4, to solve everyday problems. The remaining two are connected when the smartphone is under heavy load. This technology allows you to handle most operations using a small amount of energy consumption.
The iPhone X chip makes apps and games look realistic. A new level of smoothness and depth of color allows you to fully enjoy it.
According to the tests, the tenth iPhone became the leader in data processing speed and performance:
Geekbench 4 - testing in the single-core segment.
Geekbench 4 - multi-core mode.
BaseMark OS 2.0 test - the gap with androids is already smaller, but the iPhone is still in first position.
Also, do not forget that most Androids have little memory. They support maps, but apps are mostly installed in system memory. Lack of space causes slowdown. The iPhone, especially the 256 GB version, does not have this problem.

iPhone energy
The tens battery capacity is 2716 mAh + 2 hours of operation for iPhone 7:
- when listening to audio - 60 hours;
- watching a video - the battery will last for 13 hours;
- with continuous conversation the battery will last up to 21 hours;
- For those who like to surf the net, less is enough - 12 hours, which in principle is quite a lot.
Also, iPhone X supports fast charging. Receives half the charge in just half an hour! Of course, the iPhone can be charged wirelessly using a Qi standard docking station.

The firmware has also undergone changes. After all, the home button is gone, and the screen has changed dramatically. It has become larger, therefore there is also more space for content.
The internal interface of the iPhone has changed, but it has been done in such a way that some changes are not noticeable at all. And you can immediately get used to most due to their convenience.
The only inconvenience is the language switching button. It is located under the keyboard at the bottom and can be easily overlooked.
Although it is not very convenient to press, after a week you can get used to it. But the “Tens” keyboard has become more beautiful and more convenient.

Is your iPhone afraid of water?
iPhone X is protected from dust and water. If you put it in water in working condition and turn on the music, it will continue to work and sing as if nothing had happened. The iPhone is protected according to the IP67 standard.
We do not recommend or encourage you to check your iPhone in this way. You need a phone to make calls, not to swim.
conclusions
I'll start where I started. The iPhone X, for all its pros and cons, is a very controversial smartphone. On the other hand, has there been at least one time in history that another new iPhone was perceived as unequivocally positive or completely negative?
I have been following the iPhone since the very first generation and believe me, the new generation of smartphones from Apple has always attracted both harsh criticism and extremely positive reviews from happy owners. The iPhone X is not an exception to this rule one bit. And perhaps that's a good thing.

Camera
If you know a lot about photography, then the iPhone X camera will appeal to you. It's double. Includes two lenses:
· Telephoto lens - optics with a focal length exceeding normal; · Wide-angle - a lens that allows you to capture the subject while being close to it.
Both lenses have a resolution of 12 megapixels. The camera allows you to shoot great content in low light conditions. Portrait functionality has been significantly improved.
The camera has been improved to the maximum. The color range has been expanded, HDR shooting has been improved, and autofocus is faster and clearer.
True Tone Quad-LED flash with slow sync function. Now, when shooting objects, the background does not darken. That is, the backlight is distributed completely evenly. Video recording has also been improved. You can now shoot in 4K mode, and increased stabilization will help prevent camera shake. The front camera has also undergone drastic changes. This was discussed a little above.
Now the camera is called TrueDepth - 7 Megapixel resolution. The A11 Bionic processor helps the front camera perform 4 functions at once:
1. Of course, face scanning, discussed above. 2. Portrait mode when taking selfies. 3. Lighting like the main camera. 4. Creating animated emoticons. The basis of these emoticons is the human facial muscles.
Face ID feature
Since the screen takes up almost the entire front of the iPhone X, there is no traditional home button underneath it. There is also no longer Touch ID for unlocking. Instead, the phone uses a new technology called Face ID and a TrueDepth camera system. The iPhone X uses an advanced set of sensors and software to recognize its owner's face.
Facial scanning is performed in three dimensions, so it will be really difficult to fool Face ID by slipping in a regular photo. There is a 1 in 1,000,000 chance that a random person will be able to unlock your iPhone X using Face ID. Naturally, this feature will be used instead of Touch ID for authentication when using Apple Pay.
