Magnetic charging
Once you have connected the Honor Band 6 to your smartphone, you can use it immediately. But if the tracker’s battery level drops below 20%, it’s worth recharging. Charging occurs via a USB cable with magnetic plugs that come into contact with a special area on the inside of the bracelet. This is convenient, since you don’t have to disassemble the device, as is the case with Mi Band (except Mi Band 5).
The cable is long enough to charge the Honor Band 6 so that it is always within sight. So, the device will not hang in the air while charging if, for example, you connect it to a USB connector on a computer or laptop.
Watch Features
Huawei Watch Fit Elegant is equipped with a 1.64-inch AMOLED screen with a very high resolution of 456x280 pixels. Of course, I'm talking about the touch screen. Inside the watch there is a 180 mAh battery, a Bluetooth 5.0 module, GPS, a heart rate sensor, a gyroscope, an accelerometer, a blood oxygen meter and much more.
The specifications indicate that the battery charge should last you 10 days of moderate use, 7 days of intensive use, or 12 hours of operation with the GPS module always on.
The device can be paired with smartphones running Android 6.0 or higher and iOS 9.0 or later via the app. However, you should be aware that some features are not supported by Apple phones. Some of them are only supported by smartphones with EMUI version 8.1 or later. The Huawei Health app allows you to change some watch settings, including watch faces or reading recorded data.
Instructions and tips for charging Honor Band 6
So, after unpacking a brand new fitness bracelet or when it’s time to replenish its battery, you need to connect it to a USB cable. The cable itself connects to any energy source.
Attention! It is not recommended to charge the gadget from a regular outlet. The fact is that the current strength in the network is much greater than that required by the bracelet. Therefore, power surges can damage it.
The best option would be to use USB connectors on a computer or laptop. In addition, you can use PowerBank or a smartphone.
It is recommended to use only the charger included in the kit. If you lose it, you need to buy a new one from the official store. Since analogues may not have the same current and voltage characteristics, which will subsequently affect the performance of the device.
As soon as the gadget is charged to 100%, it will vibrate and a corresponding message will appear on the screen. After this, you can disconnect it from the cable.
There is no need to charge the fitness bracelet to 100 percent all the time. The best option is 85-90 percent. Like modern smartphones, this device has a battery that can lose its capacity over time if you regularly charge it to 100%.

Failure to connect the gadget you are using to another phone
To resolve this error, you must follow the instructions below:
- You need to turn off Bluetooth, wait a little, and try to turn it on again. Reconnecting the devices can sometimes resolve this error.
- It is necessary to check the connection of the watch you are using to other devices. If there is a connection, you need to disconnect your wearable gadget from other smartphones, then check the connection again. To disconnect a wearable gadget from a smartphone, follow these steps:
- Android users should open the Huawei Health add-on. Next, you need to go to the “Devices” menu, where you need to find your device. Clicking the “Cancel Pairing” section disconnects the wearable gadget from the smartphone.
- iOS users can also perform this operation using the “Huawei Health” add-on. In the lower right corner is the “Devices” section. Go to this application. To delete the selected gadget, you need to swipe left on the device icon, then click “Delete”. On your smartphone, go to the “Settings” section, then “Bluetooth”. An exclamation mark will be located next to “Bluetooth” - the name of the connected gadget. You need to click on this sign and then on “Forget this device”.

Other settings
There are other settings in the mobile app and on the watch. So, in Huawei Health, in the settings section, you can configure the threshold and heart rate limits (maximum permissible heart rate, warning when it is reached, etc.), select a measurement system, configure auto-tracking, auto-synchronization and other functions.
Not everyone has the patience to study the rich functionality of smart watches in practice. But if you take the time to learn the watch's features, you'll not only appreciate its power, but you'll also be able to easily upgrade to other smartwatches in the future.
Which program to choose for synchronization
The manufacturer recommends using one of two applications to connect:
- Huawei Wear. Used primarily to configure the application and use basic functions;
- Huawei Health is a more detailed program that is used to monitor the basic parameters of the body.
You can also use other programs; you can find many analogues both in the App Store and Google Play, but not all of them work stably.
Huawei Wear
Through this application, a gadget is searched. That is, it allows you to configure it and then disable it if necessary. The main functions are as follows:
- Enables or disables sleep monitoring. Significantly increases energy consumption;
- enabling reminders to reduce activity. For example, you can configure the bracelet to start vibrating after a certain amount of inactivity;
- heart rate control. Most often used during physical activity, but can also work every day. The feature also significantly increases power consumption;
- alarm. Both smart and regular can be configured. Smart allows you to gradually awaken the owner, taking into account the phases of his sleep;
- the ability to turn off any notifications so that no one disturbs you for a specified time;
- setting up notifications. Allows you to enable which notifications can be displayed on the screen and which cannot;
- setting up screens. Using this parameter, you can customize the screens on the watch and change their places;
- Enable or disable device activation by raising your hand.
All these features allow you to carry out the initial setup of the gadget, enable or disable certain features.
Huawei Health
This is a special program that allows you to monitor and record the body’s indicators in more detail. In Russian localization, the program is called “Health” and is often preinstalled on all Huawei smartphones.
The application will collect all the necessary statistics on sleep, steps and heart rate, and then will give some health-related tips.
Statistics can be viewed by day, week and even month. An important component is monitoring sleep phases.
Attention! Enabling full functionality, including sleep and heart rate monitoring, will lead to significant battery consumption. The device model will consume about 10% per day.
Other applications
There are currently no analogues to the “Health” application. However, you can find programs that will allow you to connect the device to a smartphone and view some data, albeit not in as much detail as the original program does.
One of the options is VeryFitPro, using the utility you can connect if you have any difficulties with the original program. You can also download Wearfit, this application will allow you to keep partial statistics.
How to setup
Configuration is carried out using several sequential steps:
- turning on the device after charging it;
- downloading the application to your smartphone;
- connecting the device to the application;
- setting specific parameters.

Next, fine tuning is done for a specific user.
Profile
The profile is configured directly in the application. You will need to connect to the Internet, select the “Register” option when entering and enter your data. In the Wear app, it is needed to save settings so as not to change them every time you turn off the device. And in the “Health” program, this parameter is important for saving data for statistics.
A valid email address is required to register. If necessary, the login and password can be restored through the specified contact.
Workout
Training control is carried out through the “Health” program. It monitors and stores heart rate, calories, distance traveled and other parameters. The main thing is that it saves statistics for a fairly long period of time and allows you to view it and gives some advice.
For full use, you need to initially configure the device through Huawei Wear - enter your height, weight, other parameters, make initial changes and fix them, completely synchronize the device.

Smart Device Options
The gadget is used to control various parameters. The general functionality is as follows:
- control of sleep phases;
- calculating calories burned;
- displaying notifications on the screen (what call was made, messages sent, both SMS and from applications);
- heart rate measurement;
- alarm clock, both simple and smart;
- setting various notifications;
- transfer of statistical data to a smartphone. The option allows you to review statistics and get some advice;
- watch.
Important! In general, the device allows you to control the body during sports and in everyday life, and has approximately the same functionality as its analogues. Any beginner and even more experienced athlete will find everything they need to play sports.
What else you need to know about the gadget
When purchasing a device, you need to carefully pay attention to the fact that there are a lot of fakes on the market. Some of them work well overall, but others are actually watches, but not fitness bracelets. They can't even take your pulse. This is especially true for devices purchased from various Chinese online stores.
It is also important to remember that the device has a function such as NFC, that is, the ability to pay for purchases with a touch. The function is not available on all models, but you can find such an option. However, there is no point in purchasing a gadget with such functionality, since it only works in China when paying for public transport.
Daily use
Huawei Watch Fit Elegant is a really good watch with a lot of features. How do they work in practice?
First of all, I'm glad that this fitness tracker from Huawei is equipped with an AMOLED screen. Thanks to it, the display not only displays extremely rich colors, but is also readable even in bright sunlight. At the same time, the panel has a high resolution. In addition, the type of screen is energy-saving, since the black color is made up of darkened pixels.
If you've used Huawei or Honor wearables before, you'll probably agree with what I have to say about the Watch Fit Elegant interface. It is intuitive and extremely easy to use. Just use the button on the side of the case to activate the watch menu.
You can navigate through the menu by swiping your finger across the touchscreen, which responds very accurately to your touch. Swiping across the display also gives you access to screens that show information about the weather, heart rate, and more.
