There are a decent number of changes, but this is still a major update that has been prepared for a very long time. In addition, several models are named that should try it on themselves.

What's new in the Flyme 8 OS shell?
Alive Design is a new design concept for Flyme 8. The shell has new icons and desktop animation effects. In addition, the desktop layout is now 4X6. According to the developers, the background color has become more concise. Flyme 8 firmware was developed in accordance with the concept of the so-called “living design”. True, we are only talking about icons of pre-installed applications. In addition, a system-level dark theme has been added that works with third-party programs. The developers also modified the animations, added new alarm signals, and updated ringtones and notifications.
Another innovation was the appearance of Small Window Mode 2.0. From the name you can understand that it makes it possible to launch applications in compact windows on top of already running programs. The company has also updated the game mode to version v4.0. When activated, the stability of your network connection increases, and you definitely won’t miss an incoming call.
A new night mode has been added to the camera. According to the software developers, the quality of pictures taken in low light conditions will be improved. The front camera also did not remain without improvements. Now the display can act as a flash, illuminating users’ faces, allowing them to take selfies even in low light conditions. Among other things, we should highlight the addition of augmented reality stickers and the Aicy voice assistant, which can recognize pictures, documents and everything that happens on the smartphone screen. They didn’t forget to talk about artificial intelligence at the presentation. At Meizu, the AI technology is called OneMind. In Flyme 8 we are talking about version v3.5. The technology allows you to optimize the functioning of the system, and, according to the manufacturer, the efficiency of its operation has increased by 37% since the Flyme 7 firmware.
