Every update for smartphones (and not only) should always bring something new, clean, kind and bright. But sometimes things don't quite work out that way, and some recent software releases turn out to be a little weird. I’m not talking about those cases when, after downloading a new version of the software, the gadget turns into a “brick” or acquires serious security holes. This time I would like to talk about the rating of aggressive attitude towards applications, which is compiled by one reputable site. Samsung has always been in this competition and is now ready to top the list of participants. It's not good, but is it bad?

Android 11 update on ASUS
Asus was surprisingly quick to update its flagship Zenfone 6 smartphone to Android 10, releasing the update just two months after the OS debuted. So, unless the timing changes this year, the company should release the first stable Android 11 update sometime in November for the Zenfone 7 series.
Unfortunately, Asus has been slower to update its gaming ROG Phone 2. The update was released in March, six months after the launch of Android 10. We hope Asus speeds up the release of the ROG Phone 3 this year.

HTC and software updates are not compatible. Although the company doesn't have many phones in its lineup, it has been fairly slow in releasing the latest versions of Android.
The company released the first Android 10 update back in March, six months after the OS was announced. We have no reason to believe that anything will change with Android 11, so if you have an HTC phone, you'll have to wait.

Android 11 update on Huawei
Huawei's situation is a bit complicated due to the US trade ban, which prevents the company from using Google services. Many Huawei phones will get Android 11, but some will ship without the Play Store, Gmail, and the rest of Google's apps.
It's phones like the P40 Pro that originally shipped without these apps. Older phones like the P30 should also get the latest version of Android, but should still have access to the Google apps and services that were on the phone at launch. A similar situation is seen with recent phones from Huawei's sub-brand, Honor, which will at some point update their own Magic UI with Android 11.
Based on Huawei's track record, we can expect the first stable EMUI update with Android 11 to roll out around two months after the initial launch. Huawei usually released its updates in China first, followed by a global release soon after. We should know more after the Huawei HDC 2022 conference on September 10.

Pop-ups with screenshots
This feature is implemented, at a minimum, on Google branded smartphones from the Pixel line, which run the Android 11 operating system. When you take a screenshot, a thumbnail appears in the left corner of the interface that shows the contents of the screenshot - it replaces the traditional notifications from the top screen.
This is another example of Google borrowing some interesting features for the base version of the Android operating system from third-party manufacturers who are working on their own skins. In One UI from Samsung, as well as in some other add-ons from other companies, screenshots are implemented in approximately the same way - after a given action to take a screenshot, a preview appears at the bottom of the display. The main difference between One UI in this regard is the presence of a notification about taking a screenshot in the corresponding section of the system and the need to subsequently delete it.

By the way, Android 11 should also have one general ability to create long screenshots of specific menus with the need to scroll through them further. However, Google decided to postpone the release of this feature due to questions regarding the standardization of its operation.
Android 11 update on LG
Going by the company's track record, the first LG phones are expected to receive Android 11 in December. These devices will most likely be the LG V60 and G8. The rest should appear relatively soon.
Keep in mind that the company usually releases software updates in its home country of South Korea first before rolling them out to other markets. This means that, depending on where you live, you may have to wait even longer (a month or so) to test Android 11 on your LG device.

For users with mobility impairments, Android has a great feature called voice access. Once you turn it on, you can use Google Assistant to simply tell your Android phone what actions it needs to perform.
Android 10 offers some features that let you use your voice to activate numbered items on your computer screen. For example, you can say "press 4" when using the Twitter app to create a new tweet (each link on the page will have a different number). Now you can say, “Open Twitter, tweet,” making your experience on your phone much more seamless. Should I disable background applications?
Disabling background applications has its advantages. Initially, this is done so that they consume less energy and provide longer operating time for the smartphone. But the optimization of modern systems has meant that hyper-aggressive battery management is no longer as necessary as it once was.
On the other hand, an increase in screen frequency, the transition to power-hungry 5G and a general increase in consumption are not always compensated by an increase in battery capacity. Considering that this component has hit a certain ceiling and has not seen breakthroughs for a long time, manufacturers are trying to come up with something.

Android 11 update on Oppo
It looks like Oppo is speeding up the process this year, joining the list of companies that will release Android 11 beta on day one, according to Google. It's possible that the company will speed up the process since it has already released a beta version of the update, but since we don't know for sure, we assume that Realme will stick to the same time frame , as with Android 10.

There are two ways to update to the latest Android:
- by air;
- manually.
The first option is suitable for those who are willing to wait and do not want to deal with the issue of updating for a long time. The latest firmware for smartphones arrives automatically, and the owner of the device receives a corresponding notification. You just need to confirm the download and start the flashing process.
In the case of the second option, you will need to download the firmware file to your phone yourself from the manufacturer’s official website. Next, all you have to do is go to the OS update section and select installing the latest software using the downloaded file. Then the flashing process will start and the smartphone will be updated. Android 11 update on Xiaomi
Xiaomi is among the companies that released the Android 11 beta version on its release day. Unfortunately, the company did not announce the start date for the release of the stable version of the OS. Based on its track record, we expect the stable version of Xiaomi's MIUI with Android 11 build to arrive on Mi 10 phones by the end of September or early October.
Many other Xiaomi phones, as well as devices from its sub-brands Poco and Redmi, will arrive soon after this, although we don't know which models will receive the update.

Xiaomi has released the Android 11 beta version for Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro phones. In a statement to Android Authority, the company said that the update is available to users who are part of their beta program on global and Chinese ROMs.
