During the time I used the fitness bracelet, I changed several dozen watch faces and now I’m ready to share with you the five best, in my opinion, watch faces from third-party designers. Everything for your dear audience, so you don’t have to waste time searching for something suitable. In addition to the selection, at the end of the article you will also find instructions for installing watch faces for Mi Band 4 on Android and iPhone and some bonus.

Pip-Boy Watchface
The very first watch face from our selection today will be a real find for fans of the Fallout game series. I am sure that many have probably dreamed of becoming the owner of that same wrist PDA known as the Pip-Boy. If you are already the proud owner of a brand new Mi Band, then I hasten to congratulate you - you can turn an elegant gadget into a brutal Pip-Boy in a couple of clicks and feel like one of the heroes of the famous gaming epic from Bethesda studio.
The dial, by the way, is quite informative - there is a place on it for the hour, date, month, day of the week, steps, pulse and distance traveled. In the middle there is an animated Vault Boy. Where would we be without him?
Nike+ Watchface
In general, all the dials from the selection are my favorites, but I give greater preference to this option. Yes, friends, craftsmen from the Internet quite quickly transferred the watchface design from the Apple Watch Nike+ smartwatch to the Xiaomi Mi Band 4. Bright, aggressive fonts will appeal to sports fans. In the archive you will find four versions of the same dial in different colors (red, blue, green and yellow). Thanks to them, it will be possible to combine a wearable gadget from a Chinese company with the overall appearance even easier.
Fix crashes for syncing new displays
As we have already shown you in the process of synchronizing new spheres with our bracelet, very often the synchronization between the mobile phone, the Mi Fit application and the watch fails. To prevent this from happening so often, we must take into account a number of tips that will be very useful if you want to get a more exclusive and varied design on your Smart Band.
- Keep your bracelet and mobile phone as close as possible.
- Move other Bluetooth or WiFi devices away from the band to avoid interference.
- Update the bracelet before changing the watch face if there is news.
- Try to always add new covers at home or in the presence of as few users as possible to avoid connection failures between both devices.
But above all, we must recommend patience. While we have found that this process results in fewer errors in the latest Mi Smart Bands, coverage glitches do occur. An alternative that we can also think about is the use of Notify & Fitness for Mi Band, an application that allows you to link the Xiaomi bracelet and this gives us the possibility of customizing the spheres even from external websites.
To prevent problems from multiplying rather than ending, we recommend using it before Mi Fit to replace it with this option. If we want to come back later, we will need to do everything in reverse.
Ready-made superhero set
It doesn't matter whose superhero universe you're a fan of, be it MARVEL or DC. Surely, if you are interested in this topic, you will not refuse the opportunity to dilute the modest appearance of Xiaomi Mi Band 4 with the symbols of your favorite characters. In the archive you will find one watch face each with Spider-Man, Batman and the Avengers (yes, this is the same watch face from the Mi Band 4 Avengers Edition collector's edition). How to create a watch face?
Unfortunately, the developers did not add the ability to create a custom desktop screensaver, so you will have to act in a banal way - replace the standard file.
- Download template for editing and AmazfitBipTools.
- Unpack the archive.
- Drag the template.bin file onto the Watchface.exe application. A folder of the same name will be created.
- Edit the 0000 png file using Photoshop, Corel or other graphics editors and apply the changes. Save the image in PNG-8 or PNG-24 format with dimensions 120x240 and resolution 96 dpi.
- Drag and drop the template.json file onto the same .exe.
- template_packed.bin should appear in the directory with unpacked resources. Copy it to the desktop.

The unique design is ready, all that remains is to install it. It will only take a couple of minutes.

Chinese software
Craftsmen from the Middle Kingdom have created software for quickly creating a dial. There is no need to learn .json markup and delve into the sources of ready-made screens. All you need is a background screensaver and a few minutes of time.
- Download the application.
- Let's install it.
- In the settings we set the language to English. The translation will not work for all interface elements, but in the future the developer may add full Russian localization.
- Using the selector, select English.
- Click on the left area and look for the splash screen for the custom watchface. The first option is the camera, the second is the gallery.
- We scale the image.
- Enter a name and description.
- There is a Basis button to select a template. We select any one, wait for the data to load and analyze the result in the preview window.
- Confirm saving using the green “Submit” button.
- Loading .bin.
- Take a screenshot of the window and save it as .png.
- We install the dial via MyWatchFace or analogues.
The result was not very good due to the bright background. With the help of modifications, you can make a cool custom watchface, change the date format and add a charge display in digital format.
The maximum weight of a file uploaded to a fitness bracelet is 329 KB.

A convenient visual watchface designer that is constantly updated. The developer is constantly adding new functionality. There are inconveniences, but the tool is being improved and that’s very cool.

- Place the background in the Template folder.
- Save the widget layout.
- Start testing.
- Give the watch face a name.
- Save the project.
- Install watcface using any application.

An online builder with limited capabilities has recently appeared. With its help, you can create a screensaver without desktop software. But you will first have to find a basic watchface to assemble your version.

This dial will be useful for those users who monitor all indicators. In addition to the date and time, the dial contains an indication of steps taken, distance, battery charge and pulse. It is made of extremely high quality. The selected fonts are easy to read, which allows you to perceive information from the bracelet screen quickly and without confusion.
How to change the dial in the company catalog
To install one of the official themes for Mi Band 5, follow these steps:
- Launch the Mi Fit program on your Xiaomi smartphone.
- Open the "Profile" tab, which is located at the bottom of the interface.
- On the page that appears, in the “My devices” item, you need to click on “Mi Smart Band 5” fitness bracelet - this is if the gadget has already been synchronized with your smartphone. If not, then click the “Add device” button and follow the instructions to connect the tracker.
- Next you need to open the “Store”. Among the many standard screensavers, choose the one you like and press the “Synchronize watch face” button. It will appear on the bracelet screen within 10 seconds.
Watch time in style
At this point I decided to include several dials in which there is nothing superfluous. Only time. The archive, by the way, also contains dials created in the style of Sony SmartWatch and Samsung Galaxy Fit. The entire set is shown in the photographs.

Why did only the design of the bracelet change?
The question that many users are asking themselves and asking themselves on social networks is the reason why the design change has gone crazy in the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 or more advanced models. We ourselves have sometimes seen the process occur in the middle of a change, causing surprise, but nevertheless there is a simple explanation for it.
Since there is no locking system on the bracelet, if we fall asleep and touch the bracelet with our hand, we can make changes. Something that, fortunately, is not a serious problem, especially now that we already know how to return the design to its original state or take the opportunity to change it to another one. To prevent this from happening, we must go to the security settings of the recycle bin and set the unlock pattern, which we will have to use as if it were a mobile phone.
How to install a custom watch face on Mi Band 4
If you are the owner of an Android smartphone, then the first thing you need to do is install the free MyWatchFace application from Google Play. In addition to the fact that the software allows you to install watch faces downloaded from the Internet, it has its own free library with many watch faces for various wearable technology from Xiaomi.
After you have installed the application, open the context menu and select “Custom watch face”.
Check the Mi Band 4 box. Press the watch face selection button. Please note that the file itself must have a *.bin extension.
If available, select a cover for the watch face - it will be displayed in the local library of the Mi Fit application. If it is not there, then the MyWatchFace logo will be applied to the loaded watch face in the library.
Once the operation is completed, go to Mi Fit, select “Watch face settings” and synchronize the bracelet. Ready.
What is a dial and why is it needed?
The dial on Mi Band 4 is a full-fledged design of the main screen. This includes all elements of the main interface page, from the text font to the color of the icons.
The need to replace the dial arises among users who want to stand out from the crowd. Due to the popularity of the fourth generation of trackers, they can be found on the wrist of every third person.
