Unfortunately, not all Android smartphones support setting videos as wallpaper without third-party utilities. But thanks to independent developers, this problem was solved. I chose Video Live Wallpapers, which is a free and open source app that is compatible with almost all modern devices (Android 5.0 Lollipop and later). If this doesn't suit you, you can use alternatives, such as Video Live Wallpaper. This utility is suitable for owners of devices on older versions of Android, up to 4.1.
- Launch the Video Live Wallpapers program and click on the top button labeled “Choose Video File”.
- Select the desired video previously saved on the device. It must be available in the gallery (and not be in some hidden folder) - otherwise, the application may not find it in the smartphone’s memory. Due to limitations of Apple's mobile operating system, you cannot set a standard video instead of wallpaper. But there is a loophole: a short video can be converted into a Live Photo - an image that starts moving when you press the display for a long time. To convert a video into a live photo, we will use the free intoLive program (you can choose any similar application instead).
- Launch intoLive and select a video.
