You can go the opposite way. First, the Wi-Fi Direct function on the smartphone is enabled. And then it turns on on the TV. The TV receiver will find the phone, display it in the list, after which you can connect from the TV menu.
Versions of TVs running on webOS (LG) and Tizen (Samsung) systems before 2016 must first enable the ability to connect other devices.
- For Samsung TV, open the source menu and select “Screen Mirroring”. A splash screen will appear on the TV notifying you that the TV is ready and waiting to be connected.

How to stream Youtube from iPhone to Smart TV
