The Galaxy A50 series stands out among the best devices, which boasts a module placed in the front camera - 25 megapixels - the photographic capabilities of this smartphone are quite promising.
The camera has an automatic capture mode set by default. In it, the software automatically selects settings.
Due to the fact that a smartphone is not always able to perfectly assess the lighting level, it is worth using manual mode.
Today I’ll tell you how to configure the camera settings yourself so that you can get the most out of the camera of your Samsung A 50.
What is it and how to use it?
Edge Panel is a customizable panel on Samsung Galaxy devices that lets you quickly access your favorite apps, tools, contacts, and other important features from any screen. You can open it with the Edge handle, and it's made up of many individual panels.
Each panel can house your favorite apps, contacts, tools, recent files, clipboard, notification bar, weather, tasks and more. You can call the edge bar a speed dial for your favorite things.
It can also be considered as an updated version of the app drawer with two main differences. Firstly, the panel is not limited to just applications, and secondly, it can be accessed from anywhere. What makes the Edge Bar more interesting is that some features are exclusive to the Edge Bar itself.
For example, the toolbar includes a ruler, surface level, compass, and counter. You can't access these features anywhere else on the phone.
Likewise, the smart selection panel allows you to take a screenshot of a portion of the screen, extract text from an image, take a circular screenshot, create GIFs, or attach a screenshot to the screen.
Likewise, the clipboard panel allows you to access all the clipboard items, including images. You also have a notification edge from which you can quickly view notifications.
Other camera settings on Samsung a50
ISO is a standard that expresses a camera's sensitivity to light. In modern phones, the value of this parameter ranges from 50 to 3200 points. The higher the ISO, the greater the exposure.
Lower sensitivity provides better color reproduction and higher image quality, while higher sensitivity is useful when taking photos in low light conditions.
When shooting in the sun, it's best to set your ISO to a minimum level, such as 50 or 100. On cloudy days or indoors, you can use a higher sensitivity, such as 400 or 600, but it's best not to go higher than 800, as this can cause noise.
White balance - determines the color temperature, that is, the light source that falls on the camera matrix.
This parameter is expressed in Kelvin. Each smartphone software describes white balance types according to the light source and prevailing conditions, making their selection much easier.
Flash – In low light conditions, it is impossible to take a properly lit photo, even at maximum shutter speed and ISO settings.
In these circumstances, you will need to use a flash or other light source (such as your phone's LED lights).
Digital zoom - Enlarging photos significantly reduces their quality, so using digital zoom is not recommended.
If you want to take a close-up photo, we should approach the photographed object or put the lens on the phone.
How to use the app drawer
✅ App drawers in Samsung Galaxy are the most useful sidebar. Learn how to run two apps at the same time using app pairs in app drawers. To edit the app drawer, tap the three-bar icon at the bottom and tap the Edit . You can add or remove applications from the list. Tap the three dots icon in the app list to show or hide recent apps.
You can even create folders in your app drawers. To do this, simply touch and hold one app and drag it to another inside the app drawer. Additionally, you can launch apps in split screen from the app drawer. To do this, touch and hold an app and drag it to the top or bottom edge of the screen. Likewise, drag an app to the middle of the screen to open it in a pop-up window.
If you configure the panels correctly, you can have your own version of the operating system on the edge panel. Now let's check how to use the edge panels.
Samsung Galaxy A50 review: is it worth buying in 2022? Is it worse than the A51?
Is the middle class of 2022 still relevant in 2022?
Hello everyone, an excellent mid-ranger from Samsung was released in 2022 - A50 . But is it any good and is it worth buying in 2022? Is it much worse than the smart one from 2022 - A51? All the answers are in our review. Go!
The equipment is not bad: charging, Type-C cable and even headphones. But the headphones are terrible, and the charger is only 1A. In A51, charging is already at 2A, but the headphones have not changed. The Chinese put a case instead of headphones, but here it’s a matter of taste and color.
Appearance . Samsung A50 looks decent: the large screen occupies most of the front panel (85.2%). The U-shaped cutout for the selfie camera looked normal in 2019. But it already seems old, the “leaky” screen of the 51st looks fresher and more relevant for 2022. The back surface and side frames are made of plastic. Nice colors and highlights look great in 2022.
Case colors black , white and blue . The 51st was also added red .
Dimensions and weight : 158.5 x 74.7 x 7.7 mm and 166 g respectively. The phone is light and thin. The next generation has increased weight and thickness: 172 g and 7.9 mm. Also, the new one’s weight distribution is excellent.
Amoled screen of good quality: bright and juicy. The picture looks nice: 6.4″ with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 and 403 ppi. But the A51 has everything better: 6.5″, the resolution is almost the same, but the brightness has increased (636 nits versus 560). Thanks to the increased brightness and the camera hole, the A51 looks more modern and has a higher quality display. In both cases, the screens are covered by Gorilla Glass 3.
Filling:
- Samsung processor number 9610 – 8 cores with a frequency of up to 2.3 GHz.
- Graphics – Mali G72 MP3.
- RAM 4/6 GB.
- Storage: 64 or 128 GB.
- 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5 versions, NFC.
And the Samsung A51 is still the same, but the processor is slightly modified: 9611 versus 9610. Well, you understand that the hardware has not grown over the year.
Overall performance . The processor is not very efficient; there are stutters when there are a large number of minimized applications. But the chip is well optimized for games, the situation is the same as with the A51. It turns out that all available forces go to games when you launch them. And at other times the chip is not in a particular hurry, but charging is always in place. The Samsung people here are great guys, it’s not for nothing that they have been leaders for so many years.
4000 mAh battery Everything again depends only on you. It takes almost 2 hours to charge from a standard adapter, so choose accelerated charging (up to 15 W). Samsung simply saved money on the package. By the way , the batteries for 50 and 51 are the same.
Cameras . There are 3 of them on the back: a 25MP main sensor, an 8MP wide sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. And the Samsung Galaxy A50 takes really good pictures. Of course, everything is within the budget and age, but the photos and videos are very good. The A51 added a 4th module (5MP macro), and the base was increased to 48MP. The quality has increased, but not significantly, but simply become a little higher, but this is if we compare everything thoroughly. In ordinary life you are unlikely to see the difference. Below: photos and videos in day and night lighting.
Fun fact : The A50 does not allow you to switch from one camera to another while recording video. That is, zoom for video is not available, immediately select a camera for shooting.
The sound is not very good. Very loud, but flat. There is only one speaker and it strains as hard as it can, although it does not wheeze. 3.5 mm headphone input and even AptX for good sound without wires. For the middle peasant of the next generation, everything is the same.
The fingerprint is located below the screen and works fine. Slower than the classic one, the technology is still new. In more expensive and new smart phones, the fingerprint in the screen works better, but there the budget is different. The A51 works exactly the same as the A50.
To make it work properly:
- Clean finger.
- Clean screen.
- Several prints on one finger, because the grip is often different, and the sensor is still imperfect.
The vibration is buzzing and you won't like it. Nothing changed in the next A51.
OneUI is only available in version 2.5. OneUI 3.0 is not available, the A51 will have it in a couple of months. But this will also be the last update for him.
The overall convenience is on par, because this is Samsung, and not some noname. The Samsung Galaxy A50 fits in your hand just right. It is thin, light and fits into any pocket. Telephone functions work perfectly: you can hear each other 5 points. The firmware is convenient and does not raise any questions at all.
Prices . You can still find new devices; on Y.Market they ask for from 15,500 rubles. Expensive. For a used one they are asking a normal 8-10 thousand rubles. What about the A51? New ones are priced from 17,000 rubles. Better now, right? And a used one costs a little more than an A50 – 10-13 thousand rubles. This is really beneficial.
By the way , here is a full review of the Samsung A51. There we also figure out whether it’s worth buying it at all in 2022 and even compare it with a non-obvious model.
Conclusion . Samsung Galaxy A50 is a good mid-range phone of its time (2019). But in 2022 it is better to take the A51, because it is a year younger, costs only a couple of thousand more and looks much more modern. The A51 will be easier to sell later than the A50. Again due to age. Make the right purchases. Everyone likes it!
