The good thing about Bakodo is that it reads information very quickly and you don't have to waste time aligning code on the screen.
It has settings that allow you to choose the app that starts automatically, and even in history you can open the necessary information in the app that suits you at the moment.
There is only one disadvantage of this application and to some it may not even seem that important, but still. Bakodo has a terrible interface... When you launch the program on your iPhone, you expect to see a user-friendly and stylish application.

A multifunctional tool for iPhone with a gloomy design, a predictable sequence of actions (access to the camera, lightning-fast scanning, results in a second), and an unrealistic number of additional features.
So, for example, the developers from KJTeam have provided a “History” section, where already solved barcodes and QR codes are recorded (if desired, you can place special tags for a quick search in the table of contents using keywords and additional queries), and thought out a “Favorites” tab.
And most importantly, they provided a way to save the unraveled information in different ways. For example, in the form of an Excel table or an electronic PDF document.
It wasn’t even possible without exchanging messages with friends via social networks and instant messengers in one click. The only thing missing is an updated database. The information added at the release has remained virtually unchanged in recent years.

It also contains minimal settings: turning on/off sound and vibration; selecting the application launched when scanning codes.
The application has a pretty nice interface and fast operating speed. Visually, the application tries to pretend that you have a laser reader in your hands.

The only barcode scanner that does not stop developing and copes with the tasks at lightning speed (as the developers from TinyLab suggest, there will be no problems with recognizing barcodes and QR codes, as well as with matrix combinations DataMatrix and Code128, Code39 and even EAN-8) . On the plus side, the available database is really extensive. There is always a minimum of advertising here, and searching through history does not take even five minutes of free time.
And yet, QR Code can hardly be called an advanced assistant that can knock competitors off their pedestal. The main problem with the scanner is payment. After just ten trial runs you will have to pay up to $19.99 for further use. And, although the functionality here is impressive, and you can scan almost every encrypted object, the money is serious. And even more so in those cases when you need to find out who the manufacturer of the Coca-Cola can is.
How to read a QR code using an application on an iPhone?
Most apps work the same way: once opened, they are immediately ready to scan. As an example, I will describe how to work with the application that I use.
- Open the QR code reader app.
- If this is the first time you launch the program, then you need to allow access to the camera. Click OK.
- A frame in the center of the screen indicates the area where you want to place the QR code to scan.
- After reading the code, you will see the information encrypted in the code. If it's a link to a web page, it may open automatically (depending on the app you're using).
That's all, actually. Another feature of this particular app is the History section, which stores past scanned QR codes. This allows you to access encrypted information again without having to read the code again.
In addition, you can create your own QR codes of various types, including those that include links to web pages, as well as containing photos, social media pages, texts... The list is almost endless.
How to create (generate) QR codes on iPhone and iPad?
If you want to create a QR code, you don't need to have a computer. There are also many applications for this purpose in the App Store, but perhaps the most popular and free are Qrafter and QR Reader (of course, they can also scan the corresponding codes). Both the first and second programs have their advantages and disadvantages.
Qrafter
To create a QR code in Qrafter, simply go to the Create tab and select the code type: URL, Contact, Event, Message, and so on. Then add content and save or share the resulting image.
Qrafter can create not only QR codes, but also various types of barcodes, and also has Russian localization and saves the entire history. And here you can customize the color palette of the squares and background.
The disadvantages include an advertising banner at the bottom and frequent promotion of various products across the entire display. It turns off only for money.
QR Reader
The competing product can create more types of QR codes and has better social orientation (a large number of profiles of popular social networks). The QR Reader interface is more pleasant, and advertising is not so annoying and is shown in much smaller quantities.
To create a code, go to the “Creator” tab, then click on the plus sign in the upper left corner. Select the code type, enter the details and click “Create”. As in the case of Qrafter, the resulting image with a QR code is easily shared through convenient means.
The main drawback of the application is the lack of Russian localization. True, understanding the QR Reader interface will not be difficult even for people who are far from English.
How to enable the scanner on iPhone via Control Center
Control Center gives users quick access to frequently used native applications. With it, you can quickly access functions such as brightness adjustment, the Camera app, a flashlight, a calculator, control of the Apple TV set-top box, and so on.
Access to Control Center
Control Center on iPhone X and later is accessed by swiping down from the top right corner of the screen. To close it, you need to swipe your finger from the bottom of the screen or simply touch it.
On earlier versions of Apple devices, the control center can be accessed by swiping up from the bottom of the screen. To close the curtain, you need to swipe down on the panel, touch the screen outside the control point, or press the Home button.

To add new features you must:
- Go to “Settings” and then to “Control Center”.
- Click on “Customize Controls”.
- You can add elements by clicking on the “Add” button. To delete them, you must click on the “Delete” button.
- To change the order of elements in the control center, you need to press and hold the icon of three gray bars next to the selected function.
- By adding a QR Code Scanner or Camera app to Control Center, you can quickly scan a code to quickly access websites without having to enter or remember a web address.
Wallet
A QR reader is also built into the “Wallet” application on iPhone.
To access the scanner, you need the app, click on the plus button at the top of the “Pass” section, then on the Scan Code to add a pass.
From here you can read QR codes for coupons, boarding passes, tickets and loyalty cards, but only for specific things that the wallet will consider “passes”.
If you try to scan any other QR code, you will receive an error message.
