    The apps that cannot be missed are those that usually track the information that the Mi Band generates . From Mi Band 1, this bracelet is capable of counting steps that need to be displayed and stored somewhere, reaching Mi Band 6 with the ability to measure our oxygen saturation or pulsation to monitor health.

    My Fit

    To start the list of applications for the Xiaomi Smart Band, we come across an application specifically developed by Xiaomi. This is the one that we should always use to start using it when we buy it, because from it we will get updates for the firmware of the bracelet and it will give us the basis for the rest of the possibilities that we will see later. This is a favorite option for many, and it's worth it because it has just about everything.

    However, it does not convince everyone about managing notifications, the small additions it allows us, or the difficulty in some cases in sending us alerts. In any case, it is an indispensable part and we must have it at least to begin with, whether we have an Android mobile or an iPhone.

    The next option, which is used to manage all data from Mi Band 1 to the next generations, is one of the most complete. Add new features to the bracelet, such as displaying the remaining battery time to your liking, personalizing caller IDs, recording missed calls on the bracelet itself, muting incoming calls, or customizing notification texts.

    In addition to all this, it allows us to keep track of everything we receive on the smart bracelet from the mobile application itself and adds the advantage of creating reminders or calendar events in a much more intuitive way than the original application. However, we will only find it for Android.

    Notification and Fitness for Mi Band

    This is one of the most popular alternatives to the Xiaomi app. It started with small additions to the Mi Band 3, but managed to carve out its niche thanks to good user reviews. Among its highlights is the vibration setting and is best used as an alarm clock. But it also manages to fix the notifications that throw so many errors on Android. The application does not forget to monitor steps and other sports activities.

    Master for Mi Band

    In this case, this is an application for iOS, although the paid one on this platform and Android works identically, as an alternative to Mi Fit . It is one of the most comprehensive and tries to improve on what the original does, with a graphical and visual record of all the data collected by the bracelet. He doesn't forget to get enough sleep or perfect the smart alarm clock to wake us up in moments of deep sleep.

    Tools & Mi Band

    Although this may seem like a very simple app at first, the truth is that it adds additional features and benefits to all Mi Bands. We can combine it with the original app and it gives us the ability to customize alerts as we wish, something we can't do in My Fit. It used to be paid, but the most normal thing is to find it for free, and navigating its menu will give us benefits that we didn't even know about, which start with customizing the letter of the text on the bracelet and reach the vibration.

    How to connect the Mi Band 4 fitness bracelet to a Xiaomi phone

    First of all, you need to make sure that the fitness bracelet is charged and can be prepared for further pairing with a mobile device. To do this, you need to press the touch button located at the bottom of the display and wait: if the screen does not turn on, then the tracker needs to be charged. If the fitness bracelet is charged, an image indicating readiness for use will appear on the screen.

    Further instructions look like this:

    1. To charge the bracelet, you need to use a special cradle included in the package. You need to remove the Mi Band 4 capsule from the strap and insert it into the charger connector. After that, connect the charger via USB port to your computer or power adapter. Experts recommend charging the fitness bracelet from sources with low current (less than 1 A, and preferably 200-500 mA).
    2. After you have made sure that your fitness bracelet is charged, you need to download the official Mi Fit application on Google Play and register an account or log in through a third-party Google, Facebook or WeChat account. Xiaomi smartphone users can log in through their Mi Account. If you decide to go through the registration procedure, you will need to select your country of residence, enter your e-mail, create a password, enter a verification code and check the box next to “I have read and accept...”. Then click on the “Registration” button.
    3. The next step involves selecting the application language (provided that this was not done at the account registration stage) and filling out basic profile information (name, gender, date of birth, height, weight, purpose of activity). Experts advise that you provide up-to-date information, as they may affect activity counting algorithms.
    4. Next, you need to grant the application all the necessary permissions.
    5. Then the Mi Fit home screen will appear. The user needs to go to the “Profile” tab, click on “Add device” and select “Bracelet”. Next, you will need to agree with the collection and processing of information, as well as allow access to location data for Mi Fit.
    6. After these manipulations, the search for the bracelet will begin (the fitness tracker must be kept next to the phone). As soon as the bracelet is found, a window will appear on it confirming the connection.
    7. After this, three information screens will be displayed; you need to scroll through them and click on the “Try” button.
    8. At this stage, the firmware update will begin - this procedure will take no more than 20 minutes.

    Attention!

    During the update process, the bracelet may reconnect to the phone several times and continue to update.

    When the update is completed, the bracelet will switch to Russian automatically. The application will open a display with the main settings of the fitness tracker.

    Camera apps

    Although the Xiaomi sports bracelet does not have a built-in camera, we will be able to use it as a tool for managing the mobile . You will only need to install the appropriate application on your mobile phone, set it up and shoot into the distance. Bluetooth technology will send a signal, and all we can do is enjoy the photo.

    Mi Band selfie

    Among the best applications for the Xiaomi bracelet we come across this one, which, as the name suggests, allows you to take photos. Once installed, we'll use it as a remote trigger for the phone's camera so we can take group photos without having to stretch out our arm or ask anyone for a favor.

    One of the additional benefits of the Xiaomi bracelet is related to sporting events and therefore we cannot ignore the additional features offered by some applications for collecting data and grading activities using the smart bracelet.

    Google is coming

    An application developed by Google often ends up on our bracelet to aggregate data and give us an assessment of the actions we have performed. The listed advantages distinguish it favorably from the classic version. The program also supports a larger number of functions compared to the standard utility:

    • You can add up to 50 different programs to the notification settings list, information from which can be viewed on the bracelet;
    • vibration is sent to the tracker immediately after an incoming call, without delay;
    • Russian translation of the application has been optimized.

    This functionality significantly increased the number of downloads of this application. At the same time, all standard functions for tracking activity are retained.

    Health apps

    One of the main purposes of the bracelet is to keep our health under control, and therefore there are also applications that offer us control over our evolution outside of the official manufacturer.

    My heart rate with a smart alarm clock

    Compatible with the Xiaomi Mi Band, which uses the heart rate sensor of the Xiaomi sports device, this app sets different workout plans focused on burning fat or developing muscles. But unlike others, he follows his instructions based on pulsations, so that our efforts always correspond to our capabilities. Moreover, this will help us monitor applications with a large history throughout each day.

    Mi Band app

    Although the name doesn't give us details about what it offers, it is the best app for exporting data based on keystrokes. Specially designed to monitor our heart and that we can send the entire medical history to our doctor in PDF format so that he can have full control of our daily life.

    Pulse measurement

    For the first time, a heart rate monitor was added to Xiaomi Mi Band 4 to measure the wearer’s heart rate. This is necessary for monitoring the health of novice athletes, people with cardiovascular diseases and simply those who seriously monitor their lifestyle.

    You can use the heart rate monitor in two ways: once or periodically in auto mode. To check your heart rate once, you need to click on the “Pulse” item in the watch menu and wait half a minute until you receive the results. The automatic check runs like this:

    1. Go to Mi Fit, go to “Profile” and select the “Heart Rate Monitoring” submenu;
    2. Specify the time intervals for automatic pulse checking;
    3. If necessary, enable “Heart Rate Notification” to receive a message when the upper permissible limit of beats per minute is exceeded.

    Screen changing apps

    From Mi Band 3 we find excellent customization options for the smart bracelet of the Chinese manufacturer , because it is one of those advantages that everyone likes. By taking advantage of the Amoled panel we can even reduce battery consumption, but above all give it a new style every time we get tired of looking at history and always seeing the same design.

    AmazonFaces

    One of the leading applications for styling our bracelets offers us compatibility with all Mi Band models that allow it. In its categories there are different options to search for the bracelet, and from the same application we can download, install and launch them along with Mi Fit. Band Channel (Weather)

    The Chinese manufacturer's add-on may even have more time-related benefits than what is already included as standard, and so we will rely on this application. It was designed for Mi Band 2, but it can still be useful to receive alerts via IFTTT when there is a storm near us and that it vibrates to alert us.
